Markisha has taken the job at ESP. Her choice to leave.Coach Coleman was a real nice lady and an excellent coach. I hadn't heard she wasn't coming back. I certainly hope this was her choice to step down. I wish her well on her future endeavors.

Here is my problem with this hire. I don't know this coach and am not qualified to say if he is a good fit, but the question I have is this, would they hire a JV asst. coach from the girl's team to take over the Varsity Boys team at M-A.? I'd say it is doubtful. For some reason, the girl's varsity team dosen't seem to warrant the same level of experience that the boys do, in spite of M-A's girl's recent success.
Let's hope that is the case.I totally hear what you're saying and have to agree. I've heard a number of times people NOT getting a boys job but immediately being offered a girls job. Not good enough to coach the boys BUT here, take the girls.
The other thing (thinking half full here) they could have been thinking is that this guy could be a better overall fit for. the girls program (temperament, communication etc).
He was at antioch last year and according to Clay in a post from last year, he also spent time at el cerito and cheyenne in las vegas.I just heard to day that a guy named, Dan Guy, was hired at Alameda. Anyone know who he is?
