DLS potential to go on a losing streak? Next up, Cathedral Catholic (San Diego), St. Francis Academy (Baltimore, MD), and Folsom. I like Folsom’s chances.

St. Mary’s stayed in the game vs DLS in the first half, and St. Mary’s not that good this year, at least not so good without their starting QB who got knocked in the game vs DLS (hence, 35-0 in the second half). St. Mary’s played without their starting QB vs Central Catholic and got beat pretty bad last week. Score was closer than actual game.

And Serra is supposed to be better than St. Francis?

One thing we know, there will be a different team from NorCal in the Open game should there be state playoffs. Congrats to the Lancers!

I posted this in the scores thread and am reposting it here:

I honestly thought SF was going to blow the game once they employed the prevent offense early in Q3 — and in actuality they did — however when forced to play aggressively again after surrendering the lead they made the necessary plays needed to get it done. So major props to them for that, especially overcoming the 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty to still score.

Not to diminish SF in any way, but DLS did something tonight they pretty much never did against NorCal teams the past 30 years which is surrender multiple unforced turnovers. Every time I’ve seen them do that against OOS opponents I’m like “why doesn’t this ever happen against local opponents?!”

Well, tonight it did. And in some of the other close calls the past 10 years unforced turnovers were among the factors that made the upset possible.

I never understood the whole unforced turnover jargon. Turnovers happen because of mistakes, mistakes happen because of stress, pressure, etc. Unforced always seems to diminish what the opponents is doing or done. DLS usually hasn’t faced consistent pressure from Norcal opponents they usually apply said pressure and opponents crack and have checked out. SF didn’t do that last night and for that they were rewarded. They faced the boogie man and didn’t blink, all the excuse making etc that everybody employs to explain away their own failure they didn’t buy into. They deserve a ton or credit here because they could have taken the time test excuse rout and simply folded at the end, like many before them had done.

I would say there appears to be a much smaller gap between DLS, Serra, Folsom, SF this year. And to be honest PItt vs Folsom was much closer than score. PItt looks like they gelled vs a very good VC last night. Pitt cleans it up and they will be a tough out.

rocklin is another school from sfl that I wouldn’t sleep on. 4-0 in spring and 3-0 now after spanking capital Christian.

DLS may very well be the 3rd-5th best team in NorCal this year.

I don't even think they make the D1AA bowl. I think they don't get through the season with less than 3 losses. You heard it here!

Go Lancers!

Suicide watch as of last night:

The Best Part About This Loss is Now Folsom Must Beat DLS to go to a SBG…

Look for a Mysterious COVID Outbreak for Folsom Before the DLS game so it gets cancelled…. 🤣🤣

Thank You ST Francis, This HSFB season just got way more interesting!!!….🍻

A couple of quick thoughts.

DLS will be re-focused and re-energized from here on out. Woe to those on the rest of the Spartans' NorCal schedule in 2021.

The top tier of the WCAL looks stronger than first predicted in this pathetic corner back in early August, Bellarmine and St. Francis in particular. Serra does not have a walk in the park to the title.

Huge kudos to the St. Francis coaching staff and players for their preparation and execution Friday in Mountain View.

The hunger for prep football was nowhere more verified than at the Lancers' splendid stadium Friday night. It was a packed house and those folks saw history being made. Great stuff.

yes ignore is a great feature, it’s a benefit we enjoy in a free society.

Pitt is still Pitt. They are like a by polar cousin, wonderful one week head scratching the next. That’s who they are and why they don’t seem to ever reach what the potential says they should.

DLS? Who is she? Didn't she lost to the #144 team in CA?

Folsom is #1. And from what I saw last night will smoke DLS.

DLSs time is over. Night night.

I wonder if the new Cal High coach Dan Calcagno is also related to them? Seems like there must be some connection. He prepped at San Leandro and was a very successful coach at Chabot, before taking the Grizzlies job last season. Cal beat Freedom 70-20 last night, and is now 3-0 after big wins over Logan & Antioch to start the season.

They are not Related, But this was a Great Hire for Cal!!!….

And if Folsom beats DLS they get the open. It’s really a no lose situation. No matter what we’ll get to kick around the village idiot.
Would love to see MD or SJB get a hold of them. The old"You can run but you can't hide".LOL

Your ignorance is amazing!
There was a poster here maybe 5 or so years ago who got banned for senseless trolling etc. he changed his name and continued the lame act. It’s got to be the same character. Infuriates me he took the logo of St. Francis for his own. As an alumni I can tell you he doesn’t represent any of the values taught or exemplified by anyone in that community.
