West Campus transfers were eligible and BC transfer is not eligible until next November, unless of course the Law Firm of Lietoem Cheatum & RespectBB can pull off a miracle against CIF.
Can we do some research and find out how many days players transfers into Brookside have had to sit out in the last five years? This school and staff are taking years away from kids athletic eligibility and for what?

Brookside played with 4 players wirh 6:45 left on 3 quarter. So if you have 5 versus 4 and can't capitalize thst not good. Brookside at one time cut to 6 poonts. Then they went to 4 courts and ran the clock down to 6 second every position. Brookside misses some free throws in the 4 quarter.
Wait a minute so Brookside had to play with
4 players most of the third and all of the fourth. .. and West Campus with 5 players was stalling and running the clock down...
Did West Campus celebrate after winning the game this way? How embarrassing it must have been to play for West Campus

Playing 4 on 5 should not have been a problem, because the four Brookside players are former Stockton Mustangs and they have speed, which as we all know, kills.
Aside from that though, I wasn't aware there were special unwritten rules on how a team should or shouldn't play when their opponent has less than 5 players. Please clue us in Jazz.

There is only one former Mustangs. Not complaining about the 4 vs 5 becauae the healed their own. Pico coaching gives them their heart that they play with. 4 vs 5 a team supposed to win by 20 or more.

I guess if you are taking moral victories in losing to WC by less than 20, then you are 1-0 in the moral victory column.
The real question is will BC make the state playoffs this year, what is your call respect?

Pico is one of top coaches in the area and one that played that can give the players thr real insight of the game. Not like the ones that take books and videos to coach. And who are to say how someone coaches are u a coach or amother one those thst talk about game from the sideline and never played????????

You guys beat up BS because of your distaste for RespectBBGame and a lot of it he brings on himself but with the amount of talent WC has there should be no way the game should have been within single digits with BS only having four players on the floor. The real question is what is going on with WC coach Langston and why with all that talent he can’t beat down an undermanned BS. I would have to ask the question about WC “is there trouble in paradise”.

At 6'9 I did play some in my time and have had the honor of playing for some great coaches. Myself, other than helping at rec level I have not really coached but I don't need to be a butterfly to recognize a beautiful one, my eyes can tell me that. Just because I played at a high level does not make me a better coach than the local HS coach.
Coaching is a thankless job, that much I know but if you show me a coach that does not read books on coaching and watch videos on coaching I will show you a coach that thinks they know it all and is not interested in improving. I will bet president Obama has read more books on leadership in the last four years than any of us combined and he is the leader of the United States so don't get on this board and make yourself even more ignorant and type that one does not need to read books and watch videos.
Azana is correct, some of us dislike BC because of you and your hatred toward others and the idea that putting people down makes yourself better and making excuses instead of responsibility and working hard and improving. If that takes reading a book or watching a video then by all means, indulge.
Good luck in your season and I am looking forward to hearing more excuses.
It's sad but true that Respect has worked against Brookside Christian, and it is hard to give that team the full credit that it is due given his rants and negative attitude.
But the question about Brookside's postseason chances is an interesting one, as they are stuck in Division I. Presumably the Sac-Joaquin Division I champion marches into Norcal Open, but what about the runner-up? If two teams go, then Brookside's chances of advancing into the Division I Norcals increase; if only one, then it might be harder for Brookside to get one of the four Division I berths.
And with a new, unknown, committee doing the seeding, it's going to be a very interesting Sunday afternoon while we wait for the brackets to be revealed.

How could anyone take your seriously when your are an assistant coach for MM. Of coarse you supposed deny everything I talk about things that do with Cal Stars. Just like your vote was token from McDonald's America now your freedom of speech has to because you cant say what's on you mind if it goes against Cal Stars. I glad there is a new committee for all sports State Championships this gives every team a fair chance. Why do you think the State CIF decide to make a Committee for state seeding????? There where many school complain about the bias seeding in the past years in the CIF.!!!!!!!!!

My only issue with the committee is that there is no track record to go on, so there's no way to know which way it will go. Let's be honest if you allow respect to change the way you evaluate BC as a team "quote" it's hard to give that team the full credit that it's due. Where talking about KIDS girls basketball??? You already know what that makes you??? LOATHING HYPOCRIT
BC have really good kids they play the game right don't argue with the referees! No trash talking" play hard not to mention STUDENT ATHLETES 3.5 gpa team average.

So to repeat: Pico Wilburn is a very good coach who has won two state titles, and he has built Brookside Christian from a basketball non-entity into one of the top programs in Northern California.
The girls play hard, play the game well and many move on to Division I schools.

That is funny and ironic at the same time. At 6'9 I am not considered to be a small man by most but my height did limit my playing career, that an my ability to defend on the perimeter but I am certain I could lock you down Luv.

A true player can defend any where on the court!!! Just to let you know I can play every position on the court and teach the position no matter what sizes of the player. That's what your call game experience!! The only things that are good from books for basketball is different theories of great coaches. Books can't tell a coach what happens in the trenches on the court!!!!!!!

I really don't get how jaymel's ability to guard the perimeter, and subsequently your ability to guard anyone, has anything to do with anything.. But jaymel is right, good coaches are always learning and adapting new things they like. Coaching conferences on both the high school and college levels are HUGE, and the best coaches are always attending to either observe or teach others. So whether you want to call it books, videos, seminars, or clinics... a good coach always learns from others and not just on past experience, either playing or coaching. Jaymel doesnt have to be a coach to know that

This is a saying that I live by. A coach that stops learning isn't a coach any more and needs to retire. There is not a coach in any sport that know it all.

I think NB simply stated who the true player was, not that he was one of them. Not sure if you have money that makes you "not a player". Sounds like a broke dude trying to justify his broke status if you ask me. A couple more hours the sun will go down and Respect will become a little less coherent.
