Good opening day for some local players. Feel free to add anyone else. I'm planning to keep it going through the season

Haley Jones (Mitty) had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Hannah Jump (Pinewood) had 15 pionts in Stanford's 108-40 win over Cal Poly.

San Jose State won at Cal 56-48. The Spartans have a local flavored starting lineup with Ayzhiana Basallo (St. Ignatius), Courtesy Clark (McClatchy) and Danae Marquez (Clovis West). Archer Olson (Gunn) had four points for Cal.

In USC's 85-55 win over Loyola Marymount, Maddie Campbell (Clovis West) got back on the court and scored a team high 19 points. Amaya Oliver (St. Mary's) started her college career with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Angel Jackson (Salesian) had 13 points off the bench.

Grand Canyon beat Weber State 93-72 on Saturday. Ny'Dajah Jackson (Piedmont) had 16 points. She was previously at Providence and Youngstown State.

For Weber State, Jadyn Matthews (Enterprise) had 11 points, five rebounds and three assists. Ashley Thoms (Campolindo) had a pair of threes off the bench.

Madeline Holland (Mitty) is a four year starter for St. Mary's and is averaging 14 points, four rebounds and three assists in the first two games.

Nyah Willis from Valley Christian San Jose "2020" led Presbyterian in scoring with 14 pta in their loss against Clemson 92-47. She spent one year at Chabot last season before getting a D1 scholarship to Presbyterian in South Carolina

Tameiya Sadler (St. Patrick-St. Vincent) went for 23 points, 7 rebounds and three steals in Washington's win over BYU to move the Huskies to 2-0. Haley Van Dyke also got a start and had six points.

Maila Lepolo (St Joes) freshman for William Jessup vs Nevada Reno- 11min 1assist, 1stl, 3points
Victoria Delacroix (Carondelet) also freshman for William Jessup- 18 min 12points, 3 rebounds, 4 3's.

Lexie Givens (Alameda) made her freshman debut for Nevada Reno with 10 min, 2 reb, 1 stl, and 5 points.

Lauren Walker (Cardinal Newman) is in her second year as a starter at Portland. In a loss to Oregon, she had six points and two rebounds in 24 minutes.

Anna Blount (St. Mary's) had 12 points and 5 rebounds off the bench for UNLV in a win over Cal State Fullerton

Lydia Manu (Aragon) had 8 points and 4 rebounds in her college debut for Fresno Pacific. Nala Fainga (Aragon) earned a starting spot and had 4 points and 2 rebounds in first college game for Benedictine University @Mesa.

Brooke Panfili (Acalanes) scored 10 points in 18 minutes off the bench for Sacramento State in a loss to Idaho.

Abby Muse (Heritage) got the start for Boise State and had 2 points and 4 rebounds in 21 minutes against College of Idaho.

Aari McDonald (Brookside Christian) had 17 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists for Arizona, which beat UCLA in a matchup of Top 10 teams.

Angel Jackson (Salesian) and Amaya Oliver (SMS) got starts for USC and combined for 20 points and 14 rebounds in a loss to Arizona State. Madison Campbell (Clovis West) scored six points in 17 minutes off the bench.

Tameiya Sadler (SPSV) had 21 points and Haley Van Dyke (Campolindo) had 11 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals in Washington's win over Cal.

Stanford beat UNLV 101-54

Haley Jones (Mitty) had 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Hannah Jump (Pinewood) had 5 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.

Nia Johnson (West Campus) had 12 pionts and 5 rebounds in 18 minutes for UNLV. Anna Blount (SMS) had six points off the bench.

In Colorado's 85-84 loss to Denver on Tuesday, Lesila Finau (Dublin) had 11 points to lead all plaeyrs off the bench. Peanut Tuitele (Pleasant Valley) had two points and three rebounds.

Both players had started the previous four games

Zakiya Mahoney (Bishop O'Dowd/Chabot) made her debut for Mississippi Valley State last night and got the start. She had 13 points and 7 rebounds in 31 minutes in a loss to Murray State

Mahoney was a very tough player, a great rebounder and part of the heart of that O'Dowd team. It seems like she picked the right school -- glad to see she's doing well.

She has had a slow start but Kirsty Brown (Amador Valley) has moved into a starter role for Cal Poly this year.

Aari could well be a lottery pick in the WNBA draft this spring.
 
Ashley Hiraki (Mitty) got the start in her college debut as Santa Clara beat Cal State Bakersfield 59-49. She had five points in 18 minutes.

Stanford beat Pacific 104-61

Haley Jones (Mitty) had 14 points, eight rebounds, six assists and two steals for Stanford

Lianna Tillman (Lincoln-Stockton) had 14 points for Pacific. Jordan Cruz (McClatchy) also started for the Tigers in their season opener.

Santa Clara beat UC Santa Barbara 82-60 despite some good local contributions for the Gauchos.

Doris Jones (Kipp King/DVC) had 16 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

Anya Choice (Cardinal Newman) is starting as a freshman and had four points and three assists.

Mira Shulman (Elk Grove) had 11 points in 31 minutes off the bench.
 
Ashley Hiraki (Mitty) had her best game so far for Santa Clara. 9 points off the bench (3/4 on three pointers)
 
Ilmar'i Thomas (Sacred Heart Cathedral) is playing 38 minutes per night and averages 27 points, six rebounds and nearly three assists per game for the 1-4 Bearcats.

According to the commentary she is the 2nd leading scorer in NCAA women's basketball. That's big.
 
Pacific beat UNLV 77-75 in double overtime

Lianna Tillman (Lincoln) had 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals. Jordan Cruz (McClatchy) had two points in 21 minutes as a starter. Maddie Ennis (St. Ignatius) played four minutes and scored two points.

Nia Johnson (West Campus) had 19 points and 12 rebounds. Anna Blount (St. Mary's) had two points and three rebounds.
 
Karisma Ortiz (Mitty) is now at Texas and has started six of seven games for the No. 20 team in the country.,

She is averaging five points, two rebounds and nearly two assists in 22 minutes per game
 
Sacramento State fell to San Francisco 108-82.

Jordan Olivares (Seaside) had 16 points, three assists and four steals in 20 minutes off the bench

Brooke Panfili (Acalanes) had 13 points on 4-for-8 shooting
 
On Wednesday, USC beat Long Beach State 71-65

Amaya Oliver (St. Mary's) had six points and seven rebounds for the Trojans.

Madison Campbell (Clovis West) had eight points and four rebounds.
