Two intersting NorCal storylines to watch tonight as McClymonds plays Mater Dei Catholic and De La Salle plays Lincoln-San Diego.

In what could be the final game for head coach Michael Peters, McClymonds will try to win one of these second tier bowl games for the first time. They have had a ton of success both in regular season games outside the OAL, NorCal titles and the lower state bowl games. Can they add a 2-AA title to their resume?

For De La Salle, this season feels like a season of reckoning for the Spartans. They have worked to transform the program to compete with Mater Dei and Bosco. That has led to opening up the offense among other things. But the truth is they (and nobody else in the state) can compete with those two programs and the quest of doing so made them more vulnerable to the top NorCal teams. Over the second half of the season, DLS has gotten back to more of their traditional offense and physicality that were staples of their success. And it might be the recipie to win the 1-AA agianst a fellow Top 10 team in the state.

McClymonds, although underdog against Mater Dei Catholic, also looks like could be a decent game if they play well.

DLS versus Lincoln looks like it should be a good game. Anyone know if Spartan's DT is back? He was out with an injury against Folsom. Seems the Spartans are playing good defense.

Let's go NorCal!
