Indeed. What a bunch of studs in this family. Pops was a great player on the hardwood. Believe he won a state championship but you WCAL fanatics can confirm. Tommy ceiling is super high. Like sundays.Would be cool if John Tofi Jr. could also play basketball a la Tony Gonzalez. He’d also be teammates with Carr. lol
Agreed. It was decades for them before any real success when they went D1. A long and brutal road.Nothing has been at Arco since 2022 when it was demolished.
I think this push to get Sacramento State into the Pac-12 is based more in fantasy than reality. I also think trying to force your way into a possible seat at the football table can spell doom for the rest of your athletics department.
I did hear transfer QB from Folsom to OR is now eligible. He's a lefty who isn't bad and runs well. Could be a difference maker in the OR vs GB game but I still like GB at home.Agree on GB-Oak Ridge. Went with Granite Bay and their ground game, but also don't discount Oak Ridge finding their footing as the seaosn goes on.
Whitney-Del Oro: Pretty gven game. I'll go with Whitney as the home team
Rocklin-Jesuit: Rocklin wins this one by two touchdowns. Their ability to run and pass will keep Jesuit on their heels
Agree on GB-Oak Ridge. Went with Granite Bay and their ground game, but also don't discount Oak Ridge finding their footing as the seaosn goes on.Some thoughts on Games this week.
Oak Ridge at Granite Bay. - I would say one of the better games around the region. OR is coming off there 1st win against a really bad DO team. Granite Bay has been impressive with a big win at Jesuit and improved to 4-0. I don't see anybody being able to stope ENE from GB on the Trojan side. I think this is a great game but I like Granite Bay 24-20 over OR.
Whitney vs DO- Whitney coming off there 1st win against Davis makes it 2 in a row with a victory of DO. DO is really down....
Rocklin vs Jesuit- I think Rocklin bounces back from the thumping against Folsom with a win against Jesuit. Jesuit D and line will keep it close but not enough scoring power. I like Thunder 24-14.
Folsom vs Davis - 99-3 if they played. Not kidding. The asian national merit scholar from Davis kicks a 44 yd fg to get them on board.
My quick thoughts on the game:Here we go. The WCAL schedule for the first week of league play:
Friday _ Bellarmine at St. Francis, 7 p.m.; Serra at SI, 7 p.m.
Saturday _ SHC at Riordan, 1:30 p.m.; Mitty at VC, 6 p.m.
St. Francis and Riordan are heavy favorites; Mitty and Serra are slight favorites.
Some of the speculation now comes to a close. We will start to get some answers.
The score was 7-3 at the half. You're making it sound like it was some kind of blowout.I went to that game. There was no point in that game after kickoff where SRV was going to lose that game. They ran and passed all over SI. SRV kept Hummel to a bunch of 5 yard completions. You definitely knew it was over when Marco Jones inserted himself as WR and said yah throw me the ball in the endzone because I want to score a TD. That team was just flat out better.
Quincy is nice...look at the tourney and the talent playing. You would definitely be there!!I know I probably overstepped my bounds, but at least I never mentioned Quincy because I don't know the place, and never meant to throw any shade on the tourney, which looks fantastic. The whole Blue Devil tradition looks VERY fun!
I'm pretty sure that if I lived anywhere in the Midwest, I'd be all over that tourney.
He clearly knows nothing about HSFB ref’s, how they are paid and how it all works….I know you are trolling me, but just to make sure it is understood: he does not ref WCAL & Big 12 the same day.
Yeah there is a double standard alright. I don’t think it’s what you think it is however.i hate to always have to be the guy to point this uncomfortable truth out but i will. the only difference is that jaden is of a different ethnic background. the double standard still exists.
No. College isn’t what it once was in terms of expanding oneself or intelligence. I saw a study recently that said the average IQ of a college grad was around 105 this places these grads as average in society. No smarter than a HS grad basically just with a false sense of intelligence because they have a degree. And in many cases the degree is worthless. These athletes should absolutely grab the cash if they can.So a free college education isn't enough?
Would be cool if John Tofi Jr. could also play basketball a la Tony Gonzalez. He’d also be teammates with Carr. lolawesome! now if he can get Tommy to join him that would be a nice get for Cal.
literally impossible when the games are on the same day and halfway across the usa america from each other. Here we are back to the Saturday games. What a bizarre statement. How would you know this or support this evidence?
I personally know a WCAL ref who also refs Big 12 games. I don’t think he is cheap.

no. what im saying is the league cheaps out on officials and gets them at a discount, the quality of the officials is reflective of how much the league pays for them. they get a lot of soccer refs and brand new refs because of all the saturday games. You are under the impression that the league encourages officials to make incorrect calls?
