DLS Heading to London!!?!!!

so why can't cif use the same standard with schools who want to play img? why is it that dls can do this and the cif treats it as a bye week, but if they try and play img then they will get kicked out of cif?

it's literally the exact same thing so the double standard makes no sense.
It has to do with a rule the CIF passed a couple years ago regarding opponents who did not compete in a recognized league. It seemed to be mainly focused at IMG Academy from Florida but it includes all teams and their affiliation with a recognized state league.

DLS used to be listed as a freelance team several years ago - in fact everyone thought they were not associated with a league. But one year several years back (2016?), very quietly, Serra slipped in their CCS points that DLS was a the league champ. It was contested and low and behold, the NCS section acknowledged they were part of the EBAL league and its true champ. It was a sly move allowing other teams aside from DLS to be the league champ for banners' sake. Today, NCS could never align their leagues that way.

You say "it's literally the exact same thing..." In principle I agree with you, but it not exactly the same, especially not literally. The CIF rule refers to teams within the USA. It doesn't mention anything about teams outside the USA... such as Great Britain.

plenty of college quarterbacks put up "stats" and win almost all there games but are total garbage (by the standards set of that level) because there on loaded teams. especially at the big schools. ken dorsey matt barkley jamarcus rustle timothy richard tebow every ohio state qb ever i could go on and on
I said this is what NFL scouts have him rated……his size, arm, stats and record seems to backup their scouting of him…….will he pan out in the NFL? Who tf knows ? But to say he’s not very good based on 1 single game that he won on the road seems pretty ridiculous to me

WCAL 2024-25 SEASON

The entire WCAL league has a bye this week. But what games could move the rankings within the league?
1. JS - Although not expected, a win or close loss by Rocklin vs Folsom could change opinions about Serra. But it probably wouldn't move Serra from #1.
2. SF - A win by Mack over SRV would strengthen St. Francis's #2 spot.
3. AR - Wins by Riordan opponents probably won't raise AR to #2. but another loss by SB, this time to Oak Hills, could give SI the go ahead above AR.
4. SI - St. Ignatius needs Mack to beat SRV to make a possible #3 argument. CC of SDS win over Helix will have no merit.
5. AM - Not much can change Mitty's #4 ranking this week.
6. VC - No games this week will change Valley Christian's ranking upward.
7. SHC - No result should move SHP from #7.
8. BCP - enough said.
I was thinking a big win by SRV should strengthen SI's position.

Pitt at St. John Bosco is on Bally Sports SoCal TV tonight

i know your trying to be funny but nobody on bosco's team lives "a couple counties" away. bosco is in la county which is bordered by orange county. thats where all there kids live.
They have a lot of guys that live in the Inland Empire - which is San Bernardino County and Riverside County

DLS Heading to London!!?!!!

It’s not a CIF game and they have nothing to do with it. It’s a fully paid trip and event 100 percent funded by Nike. This doesn’t count on their record at all. It is a bye week for all CIF cares.

with this game happening in a few weeks, i still for the life of me cannot understand how in the world the cif approves this but will not let teams play against img.

make it make cents.

I’m not an NFL scout, so maybe ask them? Also only low IQ humans base someone entire career and body of work based on one singular game

His stats and win loss record tell a story of a solid player

Napoleon Kaufman named Dublin head caoch

You know the other day after Elon made a baby comment about Taylor Swift Travis fired back and stated he would basically twist him into a pretzel. I think you should go to a Dublin game and tell Napoleon they same and being your moist and plump I can only imagine what he may do to you..

On a side note, did you really just go back thru 5 months of posts, LMAO.
are you saying that if somebody pointed out dublins record to kaufman that he would get mad and assault them? that’s not how the man operates. he is a good man.

Pitt at St. John Bosco is on Bally Sports SoCal TV tonight

Channel 693 on DirecTV. Don't know what other systems have it, or whether the live game gets blacked out around here... But it's worth a try.

LOTS of scoring expected, most of it by Bosco.
pitt will score a lot also. as long as ramirez leaves his starters in for all 48 minutes they will get loose against bosco second string.

bosco wins this game 49-28 if so with pitt scoring 21 in the fourth.

Rocklin @ Folsom

Rocklin's QB has D1 offers and was one of the best soph prospects in Norcal last year. How can he not throw? What am I missing here? Oak Ridge has no passing game. NO argument here on that front but anybody saying Rocklin can't throw is dead wrong. Regardless I don't see the Thunder winning but it won't be becuase of their QB.

Far too many baseless claims are casually thrown around this forum. Differing opinions are fine. But if someone is going to make these types of statements, at least provide something of substance to support the craziness.

Even if "play action" is all this person thinks they've seen from Rocklin through 3 games, in what way does that mean they can't do anything else? Even struggling against Folsom tonight doesn't prove a thing.

If the statement was "Rocklin has shown to be more of a run-oriented team through 3 games" then provided the evidence of nearly twice as many rush attempts as pass attempts --- good, great, grand, wonderful. No problem.

But to conclude and suggest that they lack something simply because a 3-0 team hasn't really had to show or rely upon it is a classic example of one-dimensional thinking.

While a QB averaging 175 pass yards and 2 TD passes per game through 3 games -- along with his top receiver averaging 73 yards and a TD reception per game -- doesn't scream "greatest show on turf", it clearly doesn't support the statement being made here, either.

Here's something interesting:

Reeve Slone: 3 games, 33 for 47, 524 yards, 6 TD's
Ryder Lyons: 3 games, 44 for 61, 614 yards, 6 TD's

Mavrik Collins: 9 rec, 220 yards, 4 TD rec
Jameson Powell: 21 rec, 243 yards, 4 TD rec

Considering the negligible difference, does this mean Folsom doesn't have a passing game either? SMH.

Rocklin @ Folsom

You make a statement that, to put it mildly, strains credibility while providing zero evidence to support it. Burden of proof is on you. Prove it.
they have never averaged even 200 yards a game passing and most year struggle to crack 150 per game and this year is no different.

and they rack up the majority of what pass yards they get against the bad teams.

look up there best ever performance against folsom in the last 5 years and see how anemic it is.

what other proof do you need?
