Devin Asiasi and Anthony Sweeney interviews

I went to De La Salle many years ago. When I have time I am conducting interviews with this year's team. This week I talked to Devin Asiasi about his Tongan and Samoan heritage and the college recruitment process. I spoke with Anthony Sweeney about rehabilitation from elbow surgery and leadership lessons learned from Simba Short. Here is the link https://www.youtube.com/user/AlhambraValleyTV Thanks for watching.

SHP over Burlingame and Carlmont over Menlo

SHP v. BHS http://www.smdailyjournal.com/artic...rs-5-1-win-over-burlingame/1776425142536.html

CHS v. Menlo HS - April 29, 2015 - PAL Bay League Game @ Menlo School
Carlmont 010 000 33 7 10 3
Menlo 000 040 00 4 2 2

WP: Giberton (6-1, 4-0) Save: Stewart (#3) LP: Cardozo
2B: Billot-2 (C) Gampell (M) 3H: Billot (C) 2H: Pleschner (C) 3RBI: Billot (C) Gampell (M)

In dramatic fashion Carlmont came back with 3 runs to knot the score at 4-4 in the top of the 7th with Julian Billot (1B) driving in the first 2, and Aaron Album's smash to short that was mishandled allowing the tying run to cross the plate. CHS scored 3 times after 2 were out in the 8th. With Mike McGill (1B) at 2nd base, Billot smacked his second double of the game to score McGill. Aaron Pleschner followed with a single to bring in Billot. Pleschner then stole 2nd base and raced home when Aaron Albaum singled to right. Starter Joe Pratt pitched 5 1/3 innings, giving up just one hit and 3 walks along with the 4 unearned runs and 4 K's. Sean Yao threw an inning of relief in the 6th, followed by Ryan Giberton who pitched the 7th and started the 8th, picking up his 6th win of the season. With 2 runners on and nobody out in the 8th, Spencer Stewart took the mound. The first batter he faced was safe on a bunt single to load the bases, but he was able to retire the next 3 Knights, including 2 K's, and nail down his 3rd Save. Chs Record: 18-5, 8-3

CCS sees the light

The CCS Board of Managers has drastically changed its 2015 football playoff structure. First and foremost, there won't be an Open Division. That's been eliminated. There will be three enrollment-based divisions for the section's five strongest leagues and two for the weakest leagues. Only teams from the top three divisions will be eligible for state playoff consideration.

G61 is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After being "blacklisted" for a week from the site, I am back!

It seems as if someone (Quaffer) has been complaining to the site admin about the stuff I have been saying.

To think in the year 2015, someone could be offended by what you say enough to complain to staff. Kind of like tattle telling. Are we in 1st grade!? C'mon people...

On that note, glad to be back, better than ever, rattling cages.

Lastly, go Folsom! 2014 State Champs! Big basketball game tonight against Granite Bay!

Varsity Summer league at Diablo Valley College

HS STRENGTH PROGRAM THAT WORKS

Coaches,

I have spent time with several strength coaches from NC, SC, and VA and have formulated a plan that works well at the High School level. We have been able to implement this plan at Havelock HS and it has helped our football program to become one of the best programs in the state. This program helped us to win three 3A State Championships and a runner-up appearance in the last four years. It is very easy to install at the high school level and has several different variations to keep your athletes off balance. Variation and muscle confusion is what makes our players continue to grow and improve in their over-all athletic ability. In this plan I have included our detailed work-outs for in-season, off-season, and summer. I will also include our red and blue wall % charts, several weight room changeups, a speed and agility workout, unconventional but very relative warm-ups, and a dvd that will show and explain some of our core principles. I have also coached in the NC Shrine Bowl Game, Semper Fi All-American Game, and will coach in the Under-Armour All-American game this year.

  • Past Clinics I have spoken at on this program:
Glazier, NIKE coach of the Year Clinics, Wake Forest, Virginia, NC Football Coaches Clinic, NC State, UNC, LSU, South Carolina Coaches Clinic, Tennessee, and hosted several coaches at my school to implement the plan.

Can't argue with Decosta(SMS) as freshman of the Yr. and Littleton (Bishop's) as Soph of the year.

I like the choice of Ionescu (Miramonte) as junior of the year also.

5 RETURNING SMS girls make all state...ouch!!!..

good luck finding those games locally Coach Gonsalves...lol

So what does everyone think of some of the choices?
