Bowl Games - Norcal players to watch

I love to watch for some of the Norcal players in bowl games... Who are some to watch for in the upcoming games? For us up in Grass Valley we have two playing in the Fiesta Bowl:

Tanner Vallejo, True sophomore LB at Boise ST. (Vallejo has 86 tackles, including 15 for loss, three fumble recoveries, one interception and two defensive TD's on the season). He was also named the MWC Championship game Defensive MVP.

Dan Pettinato, Senior DL at Arizona (44 tackles but has 4.5 tackles-for-loss, four sacks, three pass break-ups, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one TD on the season).

Also on Boise St is sophomore WR Thomas Sperbeck from Jesuit (39 receptions for 678 yds and 3 TD's)

Also on Arizona is Scooby Wright III from Windsor HS (158 tackles, 89 Solo) He was also awarded the Chuck Bednarik Award.

Who else to watch for?

A WCAL "B" League?

Has anyone else heard the report that the WCAL is considering a new "B" league for football. It supposedly would include Riordan, SHC, Menlo School, The King's Academy, SHP and at least one other private school. The "A" league would include SI, Serra and the four WCAL schools in Santa Clara County. The PAL, where SHP, Menlo and TKA now reside for football, reportedly is promoting the plan as well. This idea does not sound far-fetched at all. Finding a sixth school for the "B" league might be a problem, however.

Polynesian Lineman pipeline DLS

Asiasi and Tagaloa has influenced a tide of sorts as there will be more of there ilk in the preceding classes. Names like Faaita, leuigatama and Itautoa lower classmen at DLS. Rumors of Tagaloas younger brother coming to Sparta as well as Asiasi cousin already enrolled as freshman. The lines for Sparta after 2016 will have definite Polynesian flavor.

The CVC game ended up by missing a extra point....I've seen six games where the ball has hit the goal post this year plus Redlands blocked a PAT. what a way to end the season

Campolindo's Remoto scooping up the fumble on what looked like a sure victory for Redlands has to be the big play of the five games, who would have expected that to happen.....

Folsom--- class or no class

I caught the end of Folsom/Oceanside game, In a clear blowout win, Folsom still throwing ball up 55-7. Now I know kid going for record and I know this Folsom spread 5 wide offense, but come on really. In addition to be kids at injury risk on both sides, I think Folsom calls off dogs . Maybe if its 55-30 but goal should not be to get record at the expense of humiliation of other team.

I was hoping kid who picked up fumble at end would fall down. But hey that's a kid, probably a backup, getting a chance to scoop and score. I will question the blitz off the edge call by coach. Am I being too sensitive? If Folsom was that good then play DLS, and prove how good you are

It's time... Home and Away matchups

It's time for Folsom to take their show on the road... They need to be challenged and there is no better team than Bellevue of Washington to challenge their Cali dominance. Would love to see them against a Southern Power but Bellevue would be a great starting point for now... Centennial is in the same position as Folsom. They lost to Bishop Gorman early in the season but the news is that they were missing starters in that game. Be great to see CC schedule a home and away with a southern power in the near future. They have the athletes and system that would make for a very entertaining game against a power Georgia, Texas or Florida team...
