WR JJ Koski from SRV was offered by Montana and OL Noah Myer was offered by Weber State. My son played a couple years of youth football with Koski and competed against Myer at Rivals Camp. Both good football players getting some love.

Losing both league games by a combined 21-0, the 2-12 Irish defeat Mitty 6-2. Even as a "City" fan, I am still not a fan of every team making league playoff. After Mitty's successful run through league, it is a shame not to be able to set up pitching for run for title game. This makes league games almost meaningless.

Prefer top four teams and 1st place team given "the point".

For the 1st time since it started playing varsity ball in 2007, PG swept the 3 game season's series from Jesuit. Now PG will play Sheldon 3 games, and Oak Ridge the league leader by virtue of the tie-breaker over PG, will play Jesuit 3 games.

Just read a post on another board from a current DeAnza College player that the JC program which has provided opportunites beyond HS for so many baseball players will end after 47 years. DeAnza College apparently announced today that it is ending its baseball program.

If nothing else this season, the Irish swept St. Ignatius by winning today's game 5-4.

Occasionally with work I come across papers, journals, etc. that pertain to youth sports. I'm guessing most of you reading this post, even those that earn income providing opportunities in travel ball, would agree with the article captioned below. I know the gentlemen with whom I coached for many years, will agree with the article below. I realize there are "unique" players and "circumstances" that affect individual players. The article says "...waited until their teens to focus on only one sport." I personally feel waiting until late teens (16/17) is better than early teen (13/14). I'll be interested to know if the readers of the Message Board reach a consensus opinion on when a ball player should "specialize".

Rocklin clinched at least a share of the SFL title with a 1-0 win over Granite Bay. It was Logan Webb vs. Mitch Hart (6.1 IP, 8 K). Rocklin scored the lone run in the top of the seventh inning.

Bradshaw Christian/Cal Sparks NorCal 2015 PF Jordyn Bell has picked up offers from Pepperdine, UNLV and Nevada.

Jesuit scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to beat Oak Ridge and snap a three game winning streak. It was Chris Loeb vs. Austin Root on the mound.

Pleasant Grove beat Sheldon 10-0 to move into first place outright. The Eagles will garner the DRL's No. 1 seed if it can win out.

Cosumnes Oaks junior LHP Donovan Palma has been very good this year, including two wins over league champion Vista del Lago. He is 9-0 with a 0.84 ERA and has 66 strikeouts in 58 innings pitched.

Its getting hot at Saint Mary's Berkeley. Multiple recruiter visits are starting to net offers.
