If they can improve the field in next year's Boras Classic the same way they improved it this year, it will soon become the preeminent HS aged baseball tournament on the West Coast, if it hasn't already.

This year in the north, only Rio Americano, Christian Brothers, Foothill, and Stockdale couldn't be considered among the top teams in the area, and they aren't that bad. We got to play De La Salle, St Francis, Davis, and Buchanan, and I can tell you no one could be more proud of going 3-1 against those monsters in 4 days!

This week, De La Salle 2015 defensive tackle Khalil McKenzie is visiting Arizona State. He was at Tennessee last week.

Campolindo tight end Tyler Petite may not visit Washington after all. The 3-star tight end is looking to visit USC and Stanford and make a decision after that. He left open the possibility of a Northwest trip.

The Marauders are 1-3 in the Delta River League after losing to Ponderosa (2-1) on Tuesday. Jesuit hasn't lost more than four league games since 2005 and it still has three game series with Oak Ridge and Pleasant Grove.

Holding an offer from Army, St. Mary's-Berkeley linebacker Ben Schrider visited Arizona and Arizona State this weekend. A number of schools are showing interest in Schrider.

San Ramon Valley 2015 offensive lineman Dru Samia is in Washington State for an unofficial visit this week, according to the Washington State Rivals site.

The Warriors scored a run in the seventh to pick up the one run win to start the National Classic. Bryson Brigman had two RBI and Theron Kay got the start and went five innings. They will have Greenway of Arizona today.

Pitt 2016 Safety Shurod Thompson was offered by Cal yesterday. If BlueDog is correct there should be more in the coming years for that class at Pittsburg. Congrats to Shurod and the Pittsburg staff.

St. Francis beat Sacred Heart Cathedral 18-1. Blake Billinger had a home run and 5 RBI.

Mitty beat Riordan 4-0. Joe Cahn and Max Werner each had two hits. Tommy Hudson picked up the win with 3.1 innings of relief work.

Serra beat Valley Christian 3-2. Matt Blais threw a complete game with five strikeouts. The result leaves St. Francis and Mitty is a co-lead in the WCAL.

Texas remains high on the list for Valley Christian-San Jose running back Kirk Johnson, who recently got offered by Washington. Other schools to offer the 2015 RB are Cal, Colorado State, San Jose State and Utah.
