The top ranked team in Division III lost a game for the second straight week. Milam picked up the win for Heritage with 10 strikeouts.

Austin Fisher went 2-for-4 with two RBI for Acalanes.

Elk Grove has swept Grant with a 10-0 win on Thursday. Nick Madrigal went 3-for-3. Derek Hill had three RBI.

The Sierra Foothill League continues to be hard to peg five games into the league slate. Here is a look at this week's results so far:

Granite Bay beat Nevada Union (21-17), but lost game 2 (5-1).
Woodcreek has beaten Roseville 7-0 and 6-2.
Rocklin beat Del Oro 1-0, but lost to the Golden Eagles 5-1 yesterday.

Granite Bay was the only team ranked in the preseason Top 20.

Davis takes the regular season series two games to one. Matt Trask picked up the win and Ryan Kreidler had two RBI.

Payton Simmons went 2-for-4 with two runs for Franklin.

Christian Brothers and Oakmont split their two game series this week. Oakmont won the opener 7-3 and Christian Brothers responded with a 6-1 win on Thursday. Christian Brothers still leads the Capital Valley Conference.

Not sure where you guys are planning on going to camp, but I wanted to invite you down to Newberry. Last year for Team Camp we got about 15 duals + Individual tournament as well as Technique. We would love to have you guys down for camp. It would be good for all to see someone different.

De La Salle ATH Je'Vari Anderson has three offers from the Pac-12 after Utah came in yesterday, according to Demetric Warren of VarsityPreps.

Capital Christian ATH Justice Shelton-Mosley has been offered by Utah.

Folsom offensive lineman Cody Creason has picked up an offer from San Diego State.

What's the story with Iscorecentral? I used to enjoy going on there occasionally to follow games but now it costs like $7.99 a month to do so?

Foothill-Pleasanton quarterback Kyle Kearns recently visited SMU and enjoyed his time in Dallas. SMU remains a very viable option for the 4-star prospect.

Palo Alto saw Bowen Gerould go 3-for-5 with three RBI and Chris Smith tossed six innings of one run ball for the win.

Willow Glen has 7 underclassmen on the roster. It was coming off a two game split with Westmont.

Pacific Grove beat Soledad 4-0 on Monday in the first of a two game series featuring the top ranked teams in Division III and IV. UC Santa Barbara bound RHP Chris Clements tossed a 2-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts.

They play again on Wednesday with PG looking for its 28th straight league win.

De La Salle beats Monte Vista 6-1. Justin Hooper got the start, but Austin Lonestar got the win with four innings of relief work. Ben Polshuk went 3-for-4 with a steal and a RBI.

California beat Livermore 14-3. Velasquez had a home run and 4 RBI for Cal.

The senior picked up his fifth win in a 3-1 win over Christopher. He has allowed just two earned runs in 34.2 innings pitched.

St. Francis beat Sacred Heart Cathedral (7-1) in the completion of a suspended game.

Bellarmine beat Serra 5-3. Bellarmine led 5-0 before Serra scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Junior Michael Mcadoo went 2-for-3 with three RBI in the one run win. Myles Coston and Chris Williams each added two hits.

The Matadors are 8-1 officially, but 7-2 on the field with a forfeit win over Antioch. They lost to San Ramon Valley (3-2) on Friday. Granada is 1-1 in the EBAL. Overall, it has given up 15 runs in nine games. After graduating its senior 1-2 punch on the mound with Payne and Olmo, Granada is leaning on senior Turner Hartley (4-1/0.77 ERA/9 BB/23 K/27.1 IP) and sophomore Roberto Chioino (3-0/0.00 ERA/14 BB/21 K/25.1 IP). It looks like Chioino will get the start today.Oregon signee Casey Soltis is hitting .387 with five extra base hits and eight RBI.

The Falcons are 7-1 overall and 1-1 in the EBAL. They have given Cal (4-3) its only loss, but had a seven game winning streak snapped on Friday against De La Salle (11-7). Seniors lead the way in the batting order with Ryan Anderson (.417/6 RBI) and Nate Hermes (.455/7 RBI). Senior Kyle Franco (2-0/1.64 ERA/7 BB/23 K/21.1 IP) is the top pitcher and will get the start today.

Trent Kravitz went 3-for-3 with a double and a RBI in the win for the Grizzlies. Mike Podany picked up the win and Jeffrey Huettenhain picked up the two inning save.

Alex Barden took the loss for San Ramon Valley.

Pleasant Grove fell to Oak Ridge (4-1) and Jesuit lost to Folsom (3-0) in the DRL openers. Craig Stafford threw a three hit shutout with 10 strikeouts against Jesuit.

Jordan Yu had a home run for PG in the loss.

The series end with games on Friday and Saturday.

Del Oro earned a sweep in the first SFL series outscoring defending champion Woodcreek 21-13. Junior Brett Marck is hitting .385 and senior Billy Rockefeller is tied for a team high with 8 RBI. Kyle Yamada is 3-1 with a 1.04 ERA.
