Amador Valley will field a almost all senior team, but will have new Coach Danny Jones out shopping for a QB to replace Jones who led the dons' to a 8-4 season in 2015. ADV dropped one preseason game to Freedom in a last minute shocker to the tune of 31-28.....Just when the Dons' had pulled ahead to 28-24 with just a minute and 12 seconds left in the game and it sure looked like ADV had the game in the bag...Freedom caught ADV's defense spread out and hit them with a hook and ladder play and Freedom came back to win 31-28 in one of the first exciting preseason games of the season. Amador went on to drop two league games to Monte vista and Foothill but went into the play off's only to be dismantled by Antioch 58-21
Amador Valley opens the 2016 season by visiting DLS for the preseason opener, DLS has a 8-2 JV team moving up and has question marks on QB like Amador Valley....Now both JV game lost by DLS were to So. Cal teams, one 28-26 to Long beach Poly and a bombing 33-14 by Servite. This will be a real tough first game test for the Don's.

BUBBA3000......didn't Rick Sira step down and is now out of the picture and that Amador Valley is in Danny Jones hands now????

Yes Sira stepped down. My point is Sira was a very good coach in his own right. I'm not sure the program gets a whole lot better under Jones.

Lets hope Jones can follow in Sira's footsteps, Jones looks to have inherited a pretty good team, but may need some work??...We won't know until after a few games or the end of the season and just maybe Jones can pump something into the team that Sira didn't or can't.....

DLS......I think that Amador will get by san Ramon, the Wolves have been sputtering for a couple of years now and it doesn't look like it will change this year and Foothill lost a large number to Grad and won't be nearly the powerhouse they were in 2015, so I'd say Amador goes 5-2 in league play, but its early and strange things can happen....California I think is the team to beat in the EBAL this year and Granada will be strong and look out for Monte Vista....As good as teams are in the EBAL, there is no room for a let down....

I don't believe Sira is out of the program, a la Ladouceur.
