Whitney (12-3) completed a three game sweep of Folsom (6-8) with a 10-3 win yesterday. Sam Thawley went 3-for-3 with three RBI. Other SFL scores were Oak Ridge (9-6) over Granite Bay 6-7) 10-7 despite five seventh inning runs from the Grizzlies. Andy Uharriet improved to 5-0. Rocklin (7-8) shutout Del Oro (10-5) 10-0. The Thunder won the final two games after dropping the opener. Oakdale (10-6) earned a split against Central Catholic (10-7) with a 2-1 win. Johnny Wylie struck out nine in a complete game effort. This was the Raiders’ first loss in league play.

Leigh (13-3) bounced back from an extra inning loss to Wilcox to beat Prospect (6-8) 2-1. Two of Leigh’s three losses were by one run. Pacific Grove (4-10) earned a split with Palma (13-3) after Thursday’s 7-2 win. The result leaves San Benito (9-5 overall) alone in first place. Branham (12-4) outlasted Wilcox (13-5) in an 8-7 victory. Branham plays a key two game set against Leigh next week.
