Hey everyone,

Who does everyone like this year? Usual suspects or are there new programs ready to breakout?

The WCAL has all the baseball talent, public schools are almost all in shambles.
Carlmont has talent and a good coach, hope they make a nice run this year.

Serra54,
You are misinformed. From the BVAL (Mt Hamilton division), last year alone, you had the following talented players:

Willow Glen - John Riley(Cal/drafted by the Giants), Kenny Cory (Fresno State); Matt Toscano (St. Marys). WG beat SI for the CCS D2 title.

Westmont - Lucus Erceg (Cal)

Leigh - Sam Dalphane (Eastern Mich) and Andrew Theron (Oregon)

Leland- Matt McLaughlin (Kansas)

That is 7 D1 commits from one public school league. There were also over another dozen players that move on the JCs.

Sure, the WCAL has more depth, but there is talent to be found outside the mighty WCAL.

Hey serra54,
How you like the public schools now????? Leland CCS Open Champs, Branham CCS D2 Champs and Westmont CCS D1 runner up................sounds like all the baseball talent is in the BVAL Mt. Hamilton Division. Thanks for the motivating pre-season quote!

Congratulations. Yes plenty of depth in WCAL but baseball is one sport (in CCS) that there is enough talent in public schools to make a quality run. Congratulations again to the champions-well earned.
