aau teams are not the best route. you need to spend hours rebounding for your daughter, making her use her off hand, doing speed drills, shooting 1000 free throws a week, watching film and so forth. now playing at the high school level isnt that hard depending on where you live but most schools arent running 12 girls out there that are excellent. also the money you spend on aau teams, travel, gas, hotels, food could be spent on a trainer. dont let the coaches fool you. assess your child yourself and be honest. too many parents are confused.Would appreciate thoughts on which club programs are best at taking athletic girls, say 10-12 years old, and helping them develop into kids who can play at the high school level.

Bay Area Wildcats based out of Oakland High School. They focus on skill development and play once or twice a month. Every kid plays every position and actually learns the game. The program is not about wins and losses but about development and preparing for High School. bayareawildcats.orgWould appreciate thoughts on which club programs are best at taking athletic girls, say 10-12 years old, and helping them develop into kids who can play at the high school level.
Kenyatta is the best developer of talent I have seen. Look at all the kids "XBA" touched and what they have done since leaving his program. They are all very skilled with high IQ. I recommend you at least talk to this guy because, he trains them, coaches them, and develops them...XBA/ Golden City. Kenyatta does a really good job.
