Fortuna had a much better pre-season against the likes of Newman, Tracy, Eureka. So they were ready for a team like Moreau because they had faced much better. This was a very good group with an understated record. Whereas Moreau played nobody and is in the worse league in CA for football and it really hurt.

Larry...I think you pretty well covered it, Moreau was never challenged in the league and the preseason didn't help. But the Mariner's looked like a scoring machine until the visit by Fortuna..
