Campo #3 seed, Northgate #13.

Yet Northgate is 2-0 against Campo…

Cougs need to turn that around tonight.

Just heard NG star David Harris has been sending videos of himself dunking to Campo players…

S is gettin’ REAL!

Gavin Rendle’s halfcourt bomb at the halftime buzzer JUSSSSSSST bounces out…. 30-29 Cougs.

Time out, 5:41 left…

NG ball.

Foul, 2 shots…. 47-45 NG.

Rendle drives, scores…. 47 all.

Drive, NG score… 49-47. NG stop….

3:20 left.

NG score, and then they goaltend…

STEAL!

Rendle scores…. But Northgate nails a 3.

NG ball now after a Campo miss…. 27 seconds. Foul, now the shot clock is off…

Cougs get NG into bonus, 21 seconds.

Bingo, clank…. Rendle drive score, and 1!! FT good.. 55-54…

NG breaks press, final score 57-54.

Northgate moves on.

Was the worst matchup Campo could have asked for. You reward the 3 seed by giving them an opponent who has beaten them twice

Now they don’t have a shot at CIF…..just sad.

Horrible seeding by the tourney committee/maxpreps…I’ll say it because I know Kiddman is too nice to say anything

Yep..that should have at least been a 2nd rd matchup. An example of the old system being batter as the committee would have at least attempted to NOT put league opponents against each other in the 1st round.

Harris and Perryman are the best offensive players in the league.

Tough season for campo who went 6-6 vs league opponents. They started to fade around Christmas. Never recovered after the impressive Liberty tournament and upper north bay tournament championships. Smith, Harris and boustead . Too much bang for the cougars. Time to adopt a team Kiddman. As always thank you for your efforts of reporting. Your dedication cant be beat !

Just noticed that Campo was the only DAL boys' team to lose tonight... And that was to another DAL team. DAL having a down year? Not really... No super-top team or teams, but a whole bunch of good ones. The top 6 or so teams were always in tough battles when any two of them met. Was an extremely entertaining season.

One other DAL team plays tomorrow, Las Lomas. The Knights play in D2 against Newark Memorial, who appears to have risen from the ashes; they are the first Newark-Memorial team to be better than .500 since Coach Ashmore retired. Just spotted that Benicia is in D2, also.

"Adopt a team"? Heh, not even for just the rest of this year's playoffs.

However, there are a few I like to watch... In no particular order, DLS, SRV, DV, Salesian, even Dublin... I guess I like just about everyone in Open...

Going down to lower brackets, I'm interested in College Park because of super-frosh Miles Cooper... Would be fun to have them make a run. Like St. Joe's, too. Those two could meet next Tuesday if the cards fall right, though I think they'd need to pull upsets to get there.

My mom's alma mater, El Cerrito, is in D4, seeded #3.

Oh, hey look... Another DAL team, Alhambra, is in D5, and they ripped up Quarry Lane tonight.

Here's a wild card... Ontario Christian girls (gasp, SoCal!!). "Special K" Kaleena Smith is off-the-charts fun to watch... Amazing passer with unreal court vision, scary defender, great shooter.

To reiterate, though... lots of teams to watch, but Campo is my team always.

Since I said out-of-area Ontario Christian, I should mention CCS juggernaut Riordan on the boys side and Mitty on the girls.

Extremely good chance Mitty faces Ontario Christian for the Open state title... Unless McKenna makes a miraculous recovery and is back, I'll be rooting for Ontario in that matchup.
