It depends on your goals. Do you want to do well in postseason? If so, you need good seeding and an opportunity to upset a better team. You're much more likely to beat a better team the first time you play them.

If your goal is play as many difficult games as possible, in the belief that losing games will make you better, then schedule Mitty, or if you're a lower level team, schedule a bunch of teams better than you.

Note that parents and players like to win, and unhappy parents and players will complain to school officials.

the coach for marin catholic is non-stop and coaches as if she still has eligibility left. i was impressed.
