I could engage quite further, and it is hard to engage with anybody especially on the private school factor cause I have been there and put my time in as adult, who try to justify almost every kid on nationally ranked teams are original to the county or in the case of public schools the district. Texas is in huge denial of such, just go to maxpreps and check the comments after the Trinity team went and blasted them. Every single power has some form of system in place in all high school sports that is fed thru outside travel teams, club teams, etc…… cause again and as I said let’s be real, Westchester(6), Crenshaw(8), and Compton Dominquez(8) have that many state title appearances on the hoop court. And eventually fall off the map when the coach and system part ways. Ironically the three schools higher are private, and two of them are in Nor Cal. Oh but let’s believe like Texas, the three public schools noted above just happened to have a string of great luck from their respective neighborhoods. And what hoop teams average 15 guys, powerhouse football teams 60 plus in many cases. Damn what a blessing to have 60 plus grow up in the area year in and year out. In closing I am a huge private school supporter period, so jealousy, that’s funny. Just being involved highly in basketball and being a football fan, I will be the first to tell people these teams in football and basketball get kids from all over, both public and private, and that’s fact. Oh and one last thing, when kids move into a county to play sports, great they now live there. But it totally backs my point. So do I talk out of ass, no I speak from fact and experience. My alum was nationally ranked number 1 2 years in a row in girls basketball. Not all the girls lived in our 49 square mile city, and it wasn’t a secret.
