El Cerrito went to the Pittsburg passing tourney a couple of weeks ago and did well considering they were short handed....When going from one game to another, they had only five minutes to get there, which gave the guys no breather as only eight guys showed up. For the coming season, a new head coach steps in and its the past coach, George Austin....The word is the Gaucho's are blessed with super fast speed and have a very sharp QB to hand the job and enough beef up front to give the QB time to do his thing
A look at the schedule and EC has its hands full in the first two encounters against McClymonds and inderkum, last season EC gave Inderkum a battle and this season, it will be down to the wire again.
Now the league has gained a new team, as John Swett of Crocktett joins Tri-County Rock, moving from the Tri-County Stone league.
The Tri-Co.Rock league now comprises Pinole Valley, El Cerrito, John Swett, St. Mary's of Albany, Salesian and St. Patrick-St.Vencent.

Remains to be seen. On paper by all accounts they should be good, but that's why they play the games. Seems every 3 to 4 years EC has an outstanding team, with average to good teams in between.
