Folsom-31, Del Oro-0. FINAL

The true story we should be concerned about is how DLS is willing to drive 91 miles to play 10 miles from Folsom, yet play another team that is not Folsom. I guess settling for a 4th place league team is "agressive scheduling."

Can anyone explain how this is not ducking!???? :)

Show me one concrete piece of evidence that Dls is "ducking" Folsom and I'll hop on your lonely bandwagon. An email screenshot or piece of mail from Dls explaining they don't want to play Folsom. Folsom is a joke to DLS. Played Folsom in 2-3 of their prime years and slaughtered them both times.

Folsom is not a De La Salle or a St. John Boso or a trinity or a mission video or a centennial or a bishop Gorman. They are a class below, one hit wonder that came and went.

No, G61, that is your diversion story.

37-0 vs 27-14.

Be a man and admit it. Come on. You can do it.;)

That game was close until the second half. The score doesn't tell the entire story.

You obviously weren't at either game.

Still duckin and diving! Lol

Folsom was ahead by 7 points at the end of the 1st half.
DLS was ahead by 16 points at the end of the 1st half.

Do the stats help you with the entire story?

How about the two quarterbacks with the common opponent?

DLS
9 of 12, 192 yards, 21.3 yards average, 3 TD, 121.5 rating

Folsom
16 of 25, 131 yards, 8.2 yards average, 1 TD, 90.6 rating

And rushing ...

DLS
352 yards, 10.1 yards average

Folsom
200 yards, 6.3 yards average

The concrete evidence was there Friday night!

Why would DLS drive 91 miles to play a team that is located 10 miles from Folsom, yet NOT PLAY FOLSOM!?

Why drive all that way to play the 4th place team in the same league as Folsom? What does that prove? What are you hiding?

How is that not evidence for you?

And your argument that DLS is on a whole other level because they beat GB but more points is just idiotic. People used the same argument for Del Oro before last Friday night and they were blown out, and shut out. Suddenly, everyone was saying Del Oro sucks. LMFAO!!! ;)

G61, this is just a guess on my part on why DLS would drive 91 miles to play a team that is located 10 miles from Folsom, yet not play Folsom.

As you know, DLS is a Catholic school. They try to follow the teachings of Jesus.

This is where I am guessing ... perhaps they purposely avoided Folsom as an act of kindness towards you. They could be very concerned about the effect a DLS vs. Folsom game this year would have on you; it could put you into hibernation for the remainder of the season. ;)

Indeed, the 2012 and 2013 results, and the universal 2014 final rankings, make this a valid concern.

Hey, did you see the stats comparing the DLS and Folsom performances against the common opponent, one week apart, that I posted earlier?

In case you didn't, I will post again because I am a friendly guy:

DLS Passing
9 of 12, 192 yards, 21.3 yards average, 3 TD, 121.5 rating

Folsom Passing
16 of 25, 131 yards, 8.2 yards average, 1 TD, 90.6 rating

DLS Rushing
352 yards, 10.1 yards average

Folsom Rushing
200 yards, 6.3 yards average

This post is done with humor. I have nothing but respect for what Folsom has accomplished -- high level performance over several years. The coaching staff is doing a great job, and the players deserve nothing but accolades and respect.

I am not sure why people keep using 2012 and 2013 as an excuse to not play us.

Those years, Folsom was stacked with underclassman. When Folsom was at their peak, DLS wanted no part. I guess it is because they had mostly underclassman and would be playing against a team with SEVEN D1 scholarship players? I dont know, you tell me ;)

Also- Those stats are not impressive. They threw 13 fewer passes (I get it they went for more yards), and rushed for 4 more yards per carry. Those stats themselves tell us that a Folsom vs. DLS match up would be VERY interesting...despite the fact Folsom lost 90 percent of their firepower from last season. Pretty impressive eh? ;)

Hey Quaffer! I see you are trolling these posts still. Good to see. Maybe you can focus some of that Internet trolling energy into getting CN a real field without yellow stains all over it ;)

G61, you say DLS wanted no part of Folsom last year (when Folsom was at its peak). Then why did Coach Richardson agree to the change in choosing the NorCal Open representative, which spared Folsom from having to play DLS again, saying the change was the right thing to do?

Because this would give both teams, regardless of how they did against each other, a chance to represent Norcal in a state bowl game. This would have helped DLS as well if they were to lose to Folsom in a non-league match up.

When you have two GREAT teams like that, it makes sense. Both DLS and Folsom were better than EVERYONE in SoCal last year. That is a fact. It is just sad they didn't get to play each other when they truly should have.

This rule should have incentivized both teams to play each other in a non-league match up. Someone called. Someone didn't answer. The rest is complete speculation, although based on pretty good information ;)

G61, I also agree with the change. It worked last year, and, in my opinion, they made the correct decision on NorCal's representatives and the games in which they played.

Good luck to Folsom the remainder of the year.
