Girls Cali Live at Ladera Ranch (June 13-15)

A number of the top NorCal teams will be playing including:

St. Mary's
Cardinal Newman
Bishop O'Dowd
Salesian
Oak Ridge
Acalanes
Riordan
Vanden
McClatchy
St. Ignatius
Christian Brothers

Looks like it will be some good girls hoops. Notre Dame SJ will be there also. They may not be a top team but I do like what Coach Bueno has been doing with that program and her AAU Club as well.

IN POOL C:
McClatchy beat Junipero Serra, 59-46
McClatchy beat Dos Pueblos, 53-39

McClatchy will play tomorrow, Saturday against POOL D, 1st place team

Was Tiassa Quieroz back from her ankle injury for Cardinal Newman?
Although I didn't see any games and don't know if Quieroz played, I seriously doubt that she played. Cardinal Newman went 2-2 in the this tournament and lost to Fairmont Prep, 23-64 (not a typo error), and lost to Harvard-Westlake, 48-56. Cardinal Newman beat Hamilton and Redondo Union.

ABT Division - 16 teams (probably the 2nd best division):
Sage Hill went 4-0 (Champion)
Pinewood went 2-2
St. Mary's of Stockton went 2-2
St. Joseph went 1-3
Oak Ridge went 0-4

OCYSF Division - 18 teams (probably the 3rd best division):

Christian Brothers went 3-1
Archbishop Riordan went 3-1
Moreau Catholic went 1-3

BallerTV Division - 12 teams (probably the 4th best division):
McClatchy went 4-0 (Champion)
California went 3-1 (2nd place, lost to McClatchy)
Vanden went 3-1 (3rd place, lost to California)

A few notes:

ABT was the top bracket (by a fair bit) based on last years, end of season rankings. Of course that doesn't account for graduations, transfers or incoming freshmen.

Quieroz did not play for Cardinal Newman. Just a guess, but they may have asked to play down a couple of levels in her absence.

Koko Rodgers was injured at the very end of St. Mary's third game of the weekend. Don't want to speculate on what it is.

Lincoln-Stockton went 3-1 in the Destination Irvine bracket in losing its opener to eventaul runner up Olympian
