Heritage started out on fire, quickly getting an 11-2 lead... They looked wayyyyyy too fast for the Cougars.

But Carondelet clawed their way back into it, finally getting their first lead at 26-25 near the end of the first half... Score is now 28-27 Carondelet at the half.

Carondelet takes a 48-41 lead into the 4th quarter.

Heritage got within 3 a couple times early in the 4th, but the Cougars had all the answers... 69-56 with 42 seconds left.

I hate when I go to a game and the refs do way too much. C-Let post could have been called for countless 3 second calls but the refs were too busy calling pointless calls. Advantage/disadvantage didnt factor into tonights game. They were bad both ways, but Heritage is a different team with Muse not on the floor. Two weak early fouls called on her changed the game.

The first foul was extremely weak, but the second one was avoidable and she’s got to know how much she means to the team and avoid getting that second one. Heritage was up by 8 or so when she came out and CLet took advantage and it was pretty much even when she got back in. The Pats played well, but was missing a starter and couldn’t keep a good CLet team down.

Yeah good adjustment by Carondelet subbing in a couple of players with a bit more speed and experience to Neutralize the early jitters and what Heritage was able to do against the larger but not as quick or fundamental unit. They were playing on a larger court which tends to favor smaller better fundamental players. Carondelet needed to matchup with them better. Especially when the tempo creates the flow to be often in transition as opposed to a half court set where bigger players tend to excel. It was a very entertaining game. And two things went against what many thought going in. And that was because Carondelet was closer to St. Mary's college that Carondelet would automatically have more of a home court advantage.The Heritage boys and girls team were both playing in the same gym that evening. If you were there it was obvious that Heritage had a larger crowd of supporters. And since Heritage plays on a much larger court at home than Carondelet does, Heritage has players both big and small that are accustom to running on a larger court. So it was more Heritage's home court advantage than it was Carondelet's. Hat's off to Heritage and Carondelet as they both played their hearts out.The game was definitely worth the price of admission. I wouldn't be surprised if these two went at it for a third straight NCS championship title matchup again next season. Best wishes to both teams in their sudden death championship playoff runs moving forward.

And congrats to your daughter on the championship Paytc. She played a nice role in the comeback victory and had a key step back 3 in crunch time.
