Napa 21 Campo 14

Not sure Bluedog. I got the score off of Maxpreps. Pleasant Valley knocked off River Valley 35-21 as well.

I thought Campo would win, but not entirely surprised. This game was pretty evenly split in the pick'em this week. Troy Mott does a great job at Napa.

Napa did a great job controlling the flow of the game tonight. Napa's coaches were yelling out every play that was coming. All great things must come to an end, and Campo will continue to put an outstanding product on the field.

Napa had an auspicious start with a couple of picks, but they were able to keep control with their defense putting a ton of pressure on Campo's QB. Campo passed like 40+ times because Napa's run defense is NAILS!!! I would bet Campo had less than 50 total yards.

I love how so many people picked Campo to win big in the pick um.

Hat's off to Campo's fans for bringing so much to donate to the fire victims.

Tonight's atmosphere was what High School Football is all about. The Napa side, from the Band to the Student Section to the DJ were rocking the house!!!

Yeah at first I had NAPA as my #10 pick'em this week. I knew Campo was going to catch hell coming out of Napa with a "W".

Great win for Napa, seeing MEL teams do good in nonleague is great, 3 good teams going to be fighting for the top spots in the MEL, how is Vintage this season? Im glad to see Wood coming up, I'm just waiting for Vintage to take that step up also.

Vintage is not going to take that step up any time soon. They are currently imploding. Seniors don't like Juniors. Linemen don't like backs. The HC is in his third season and seems to be having a hard time with discipline. The two wins they have are against Petaluma and Woodland, and their two losses are against Davis and Woodcreek. The Coach is more of a rah rah guy than a real coach. I have watched a few games, and he can't make adjustments.

I see Vintage maybe being 5-5 at the end of the season and not making the playoffs. How long will the Vintage fans and Principal allow the coach to remain before giving him the boot? This guy promised to beat Napa, win league, and win a playoff game for the first time since 1986. None of those promises appear ready to come true.

How long will Vintage parents continue to drink the Kool Aid?

Hopefully soon school officials make the right decisions. It would be nice to see four MEL teams competing for the crown in the future.

It would be great to see 4 strong teams in the MEL, unfortunately I don't see it happening with the current administration and coaching staff at Vintage. As was stated earlier they have zero discipline within the program and the administration is still buying the "we're only a year away" line from the HC. They have all the talent needed to be a winner, they just can't put the pieces together. Look at the box scores over the last few years, they're in the first half and blown out in the second. That's coaching adjustments or lack there of, if they had 48 hour halftime breaks they may be alright.
My wife and daughter graduated from Vintage, they are both hoping they figure it out too. It's going to take a coaching change though to get them on track, the kids run that program. Look at the kids who stole items from the locker room last year during their first playoff game in years, they were walked off the field by police and the staff handed down zero discipline. They were removed from the team in the off season but when summer came around they were brought back on, what did that teach the team? Entire program is sad to watch right now, the kids deserve better.
