My picks in bold ...

10) Grant at St. Mary’s-Stockton *
09) Turlock at Oak Ridge
08) Hollister vs. Carmel
07) Manteca at Rocklin

03) St. Francis vs. St. Ignatius
02) Menlo vs. Palma
01) De La Salle vs. Pittsburg (28-31)

As a huge St. Mary’s-Stockton homer, I am going on a limb and picking the CalPrep underdog Rams of Stockton to defeat the heavy favorite visiting Pacers from Del Paso Heights. Also, going against CalPreps in picking the #1 seed Rocklin over the #4 seed Manteca.

From CalPreps …

II PLAYOFFS

Manteca (CA) vs. Rocklin (CA), 7:00pm [projection and percent chances to win: Manteca (CA) 28 (53%) Rocklin (CA) 27 (47%)]

St. Mary's (Stockton, CA) vs. Grant (Sacramento, CA), 7:00pm [projection and percent chances to win: Grant (Sacramento, CA) 41 (88%) St. Mary's (Stockton, CA) 22 (12%)]

Streak,I’m shocked my friend,I was looking forward to seeing
Placer vs Twelve Bridges 2 on the list….there must be a real good reason as to why this 2nd game (this yr) between these two programs is absent,1st game was exciting as neither teams D could stop the other, the difference being a couple Placer miscues, one of which was a pic 6….I honestly felt this 2nd game was deserving of being on this list as was the 1st,even more so now since it’s the semi game of the D4 playoffs.Streak, plz don’t take my post here anything more than I am just surprised this game is not on the list, that’s all! Thanks for the great job you do….just don’t let this happen again!😂😂😂😂😂😂

Testing a new system...

10 Oak Ridge
9 De La Salle (42-25)
8 San Ramon Valley (Cardinal Newman could surprise, Calpreps predicts such)
Every game hereunder is a very close margin - I need to hire monkeys and buy a dart board.
7 Los Gatos (hmm, I don't buy it - AR is going to win, but I'll let the new system speak for me.)
6 Rocklin
5 St. Francis (Given my personal conviction, this game is a 1 point level - take your pick of SF or SI)
4 Hollister (We will get a look at the Carmel depth in this game)
3 Palma
2 Windsor
1 St. Mary's (Which Grant is showing up? Calpreps predicts the very best Grant shows up against an unmotivated SM team)

Why would SM be unmotivated? It's the playoffs.
I know, huh! But even the best teams can play flat at certain times - playoffs being the worst time... For some reason the new CalPreps playoff algorithm is giving a big boost to Grant. This suggests CalPreps might be looking at a very lengthy span of data and finding criteria for bigger boost for Grant playoffs than for SM playoffs. We will see!

Manteca runs the ball extremely well and controls the clock. Rocklin will have a tough chore in getting the ball in Buffalos territory. Manteca can win D2. Turlock is Hot. Rams could be Grants toughest opponent in weeks. I see your Rams prevailing at home!!

I like SM in this one, though I admit this should be a pick ‘em game to me. Wouldn’t be surprised with whichever team wins. Like Riordan over Los Gatos as well

I don't even think of it as "playing flat" in important games or playoffs. It's more like "Getting overhyped and freezing up because you're trying too hard".
