Who will be the 6 teams selected for the Open bracket? Who will be the top 4 seeds in D1? I've got...

Open:
1. SRV
2. Carondelet
3. Salesian
4. Cardinal Newman
5. Bishop O'dowd
6. Heritage

D1:
1. Monte Vista
2. San Leandro
3. James Logan
4. American

I would suggest the seeding prognosticators to not be lazy and look beyond a flawed maxpreps rankings and actually look into all the potential OPEN teams schedules.... who they played and beat(or loss to) and common opponents. I will wait until after fridays games to post my seedings.

I would agree that BOD does not look like an Open team right now. Not only did the Dragons lose, they lost convincingly.

Acalanes was down a few players, I heard, and the loss cements them into D2, at least for NCS.

In NCS D5, Mt. Diablo took down Berean Christian in a key seeding game.

Acalanes was down several key players according to texting one person involved with their program yesterday.
Acalanes only beat Alhambra by 4 the first time around at home, so losing at Alhambra isn’t some anomaly. I’m sure the Bulldogs were lying in wait to get them at home.

My On paper 6 (Only teams eligible)
1.Ebal Winner
2. Salesian
3. Ebal 2nd
4. Cardinal Newman
5. Heritage
6. Moreau

My Best 6 based on what I have seen ( Only eligible)
1. Ebal Winner
2. Salesian
3. Ebal 2nd
4. Monte Vista
5. Cardinal Newman
6. O dowd

D1
1. Heritage
2. San Leandro

I know Heritage beat MV head to head yes.

How can O'Dowd be above San Leandro? Open is not designed for a 3rd place league team, regardless of their past history
1. Carondelet
2. Salesian
3. San Ramon
4. Heritage
5. Cardinal Newman
6. San Leandro or Moreau Catholic

Actually your right but it should be San Leandro instead of Moreau. San Leandro beat Piedmont twice and o dowd lost twice. San Leandro lost by 15 to Pinewood Moreau by 50. San Leandro is the 6. I guess my brain can’t process O dowd not being one of the best 6 in their own section with a top 2 player in NorCal.

well I would have had

1 Clet
2 SRV
3 Salesian
4 CN
5 Heritage
6 Monte Vista

for the NCS Open.

The committee went straight by the MaxPrep rankings after taking out Marin Catholic and Piedmont (who wern't eligible).

As I said on a different thread...I dont agree with using Maxpreps this year as the game discrepancies tilt the better rankings to the teams that got all their games in (and won).
3, 4, 5 extra wins added to the rankings formula make a big difference.

Anyways...

makes for a very interesting 1st round matchup between BOD and all their rated "stars" and CN and all their.... oops .. no stars...lol

One team (BOD) rated top 10 in NCP and Cal Hi all year... the other not even in the top 35 of NCP to start the season and still unranked in Cal Hi (although they have made it to bubble teams list recently).

Well see if the 0 stars overachievers at CN can keep it going or if the 5 stars from BOD are just too big and athletic for them.
