Imagine NCS was sitting down in February to figure out the brackets. You can’t have Terra in div 1 or st Mary’s . Once you get out of the open group no longer is it a pure power ranking list.
We’re pretty aggressive on California’s ranking. You’re putting california in the open? At this moment! Why?
Terra is open or div 2.
Why do you have Terra Linda as the eighth rank team ?
I may be wrong so forgive me but my understanding is that the NCS Open is now open to all team from all divisions if you end up in the final top 6 in the section determined by Maxpreps.com
My list above was what was currently the top 10 (According to maxpreps.com) With my own movement based on what Ive seen from the teams that I watched. (Thus St. Mary's High, Terra Linda and California are in the top 10 so I moved them based on what Ive seen)
My other understanding is that if you dont make the top 6 (open) then you have to be in your enrollment division (or up 2 or down 2) so if St. Mary's High does not crack the top 6 in the final NCS rankings on Maxpreps then the highest they can go is D2 (or D3) same as Moreau, Salesian, Cardinal Newman and Urban.
DLS will be Open
Dougherty will be D1 or Open
Campo will be Open or D1 (D2 possible)
Salesian will be Open or D2
California will be D1 (Or open if they can beat SRV, DeLa or Dublin and or Dougherty)
Salesian will be Open
St. Mary's will be Open or D2 (or D3)
SRV will be Open or D1
Clayton Valley will D1 (unless they beat campo twice and win their league)
Moreau will be D2 (or D3 depending on how they finish)
I was just using the data available from maxpreps since the NCS will use it exactly as they have it at the end of the season.
