The CalPreps computations take the emotion and gut instinct out of the equation. That's not all good or all bad, it just is. Calpreps also gets more consistent as more information is added throughout the season, so it can fluctuate somewhat before it smooths out. It's more of a "This is who you have shown yourself to be" rather than a "This is who we think you are." That's why they won't start projecting winners until October.Their method can take more time, but the cream eventually rises to the top.
