Count after second round of playoffs

Sec-#Tms / #1st / #2nd / Per%
CCS-9 / 6 / 3 / 33%
CS-4 / 1 / 0 / 0%
NCS-9 / 5 / 3 / 33%

SJS-10 / 4 / 3 / 30%

The CCS, NCS & SJS sections each have 3 teams still in the playoffs.
The NS section has one team still in the playoffs.

Interestingly, there are no inner-sectional matchups in the final round.

Some fun matchups to end the year. Rematch of two very good teams in St. Francis and DLS. Granite Bay going for the WCAL two step in D2. Small schools win out in D3 and Colusa looking for an undefeated season.

According to MaxPreps, DIII Alpha Charter @ St. Bernard's schedule for Monday 6th, 4pm.. Is this right?

One game remaining but the DI is now decided - close game but DLS kept the upper hand most of the game.

Sectional battle as it stands now
CCS 2 wins, DII & DV
NCS 1 win - the granddaddy DI, and one other possible win at DIII
SJS 1 win, DIV and one other possible win at DIII

The NS section had one team make it to the finals. Colusa, with their perfect record, lost a painful defeat.

The CS, OS and SFS sections did not represent in the final round.

So far 5-4 publics for the CIF titles. All 4 Norcal champs have been privates so far.

All five Socal champs (HB, Tesoro, Etiwanda, Newport Harbor, TP and Estancia) are public. So look g like a good 50/50 split overall.
There are some latitude considerations given to Alpha Charter since they are a "public" magnet school that can have some of the characteristics of private schools. Similar attributes are seen in McClymonds for Football.

My guess is that the CIF will make adjustments to the Regional seeding based on historical results of these regionals. Like in Football, the CCS was highly ranked in the FBSB but as time progressed, the SJS section gained notoriety. The same will happen for Baseball regionals and State playoffs as sections and teams demonstrate their relative strength. Winning teams will be seeded higher and historical losing teams will move downward.

The DIII Baseball regional is being hard fought.

After 4, it is St. Bernard's 7 Alpha Charter 6

The Angels were leading early on with a score of 6-2 mid way through the 3rd inning. The crusaders scored in the 3rd (3-6), and pulled ahead in the 4th (7-6).

2022 NorCal Regionals Baseball
NCS 2 wins, DI & DIII
CCS 2 wins, DII & DV
SJS 1 win, DIV

2022 SoCal Regionals Baseball
SS 4 wins, DI, DIII, DIV & DV
SDS 1 win, DII

Of course the SS Section dominance could be expected since they had 20 slots in the 40 team SoCal bracket.
