Lucky to even be there, st pats should be there, that first round game Colfax won by won and had a 27-7 free throw advantage, a 26-13 foul advantage, all winning by 1 in OT, I guess everything happens for a reason , but Colfax should all buy lotto tickets for this lucky run they’re on

I’m not a parent or associated with Colfax but I went to the game you’re referring to against St Pats. It definitely looked from my perspective like the better team won and probably should have beat St Pats by a lot more. St Pats had some nice players but not at the level of Colfax. St Pats had a good season and almost pulled it off against a really good public school.
Colfax is a public school of 640 students. The Falcons have won back to back section championships (D4) and back to back nor cal regional championships (D3 and D2). No lottery tickets needed, just hard work.
St Pats is a great team, just not on the same level as Colfax. Teams that attack the basket tend to shoot a lot of freethrows. St Pats took a lot of outside shots that night.

Generally a free-throw and foul disparity has much more do with the quickness level of the two teams as opposed to any bias by the officials.
I saw both teams during the year, and Caruthers is much quicker than St. Pat's. Didn't see the game, but it's always an easy out to blame the officials for a team's lack of quickness.

The officials are not local officials. NCS makes sure they come from another conference/area. I saw local guys (who worked MCAL) working the PV/Colfax game in Chico last night. Let's not let our kids point at officials as an excuse. Get to the rim. Get better. And for cryin out loud, STOP FOULING!
