Rocklin Unified considers cuts to Arts, Musics, and Sports programs

The proposed cuts would include funding to freshman sports programs. If it happens, I believe that would mean nearly half the SFL, for football, would then be without freshman programs. Grant Union, Rocklin and Whitney.

This is going to get more common in the coming years, which is sad because freshman level programs are where you can learn the game in a low pressure spot for players and coaches.

This is the common route for budget cuts because people are more sympathetic to giving to Music, Arts and Sports. It's beyond me that flat rate cuts for all departments aren't legislated in order to continue to receive public tax dollars.

this cuts jobs too. I think their last contract has turned their budget upside down. Surprised they didn’t see this coming.
