So, did SF hang on to win it, 43-42? MudsThat Serra-St. Francis was back and forth all night. Two good games in the WCAL tonight
Thanks, bulldogmgc, for confirming St. Francis' win over Serra. Many Fall Friday nights and years I'd spend watching games at Los Gatos HS, or at Saint Francis in Mt. View, now recalling how the Lancer's stadium would rock during those cliff hanger moments. Place musta been rocking socks off, tonight! MudsYes! Great game!

SF vs Serra game was one for the ages. Serra was in full control but in the second half SF had some momentum. WCAL is a defensive league but I have to admit an 85 point game is not what I expected. This year is just wacky. Thanks, bulldogmgc, for confirming St. Francis' win over Serra. Many Fall Friday nights and years I'd spend watching games at Los Gatos HS, or at Saint Francis in Mt. Great points sedaprs! That TD before the half was unexpected. I expected a run but not the result. It was right up the middle too. Nunn was spectacular running the ball but too many dropped balls by his receivers. As for SF throwing, Calcagno's style. Ground and pound until their backs are against the wall and they start to pass. But to Serra's credit, they were on Akina all night.Serra let that game slip away. Up 28 to 10 with about 30 sec in the half and sf runs for a 45 yard touchdown to make it 28 to 17 at half. That was the game changer for sure. Serra was also up 42 to 30 with 4 minutes to go as well. Couldn't convert on a 4 and 2 and SF marches down the field and scores with about 1:30 left. Two big sacks by the lancer d sealed it. Serra has some great runs and seemed to be dominating in the run game, but continued to pass the ball a lot. A lot of bad passes and dropped balls as well. Not sure why Sf does not pass more. That is all they did in the 4th quarter and moved the ball up and down the field.
