You can tell what a great coaching staff Napa has just by watching them warm up. I've always noticed that since the first time I saw them play, they got that fancy warm up formations and drills. I have seen lots and lots of high school football teams throughout the years and very few, almost none, do warm up drills like Napa. Just a little thing I've always liked about them, I know it doesn't have anything to do with wins or losses but I like their routine.

Defense is doing ok but seem to be getting tired, they have been on the field most of the first quarter
Napa scores another TD and Vacaville stops the 2pt conversion. Leads13-0 with 9:38 remaining in the half.
Napa lobs a pass into the endzone and scores the TD with less than a minute left. Napa 28 Vacaville 21 57 seconds left
This one is going to sting for a while, Vacaville played its best game of the year after the first qtr. Up 21-13 with less than 5 mins remaining in the game, it hurts because of what it meant to beat an undefeated rival Napa.
Crazy game!!!! Officiating was terrible. Vacaville played like it was....well...a rivalry game. Napa always knows they will be in for a battle with the Bulldogs. Napa kept their composure until the very end and made the big plays when it was needed. Hats off to the Bulldogs for bringing their A Game. It was the best game I have seen them play all year, and I have seen all of their games in person or on film. I think the Vacaville and Napa staffs understand that our programs always go about their business the right way, and that is why there is so much respect between the programs. I look for both squads to go deep in the playoffs. Now, Vacaville needs to smash Vintage and Wood.
You're right about the officials, how a rivalry game between two great teams can get assigned such a terrible crew is beyond me. Fortunately both staffs and programs are good and they controlled the game the officials couldn't.
That was one of the better games I've watched over the years, exactly what you expect from two teams who know each other so well and have great programs. Napa took that last 4 minutes and put on a clinic, glad I was able to watch it.

I really like Vacaville. That game was fun to watch, i wish these teams would play each other more often haha
Having watched both Wood and Vacavillle play this year, I think Vacavillle beats them. I don't think Wood can stop the vaca run game, it'll be a high scoring game with vaca making enough stops to win.
If there are only 2 MEL playoff spots then Napa and Vacavillle would go and an 8-2 Wood would be out, is that right?
I dont know the SJS system but I thought Wood was D2 and Napa and Vacaville are D1. Wood would have to get into D2 somehow.
Wait a minute, hold your horses everyone, so what in the world has happened in the SJS so this means a 5-5 team won't make the playoffs??? Even if opponents wins are high?? What is up with Pete Saco or whoever is in charge, if it's true, they got to be kidding me, they are turning this into some crazy politics. So if Vacaville were to lose against Wood would that be the end of their season? I'm not even up to date on all this mess.
I'm not sure about it also. I do know that some teams may be bumped to D1. If D2 teams are getting bumped to D1 that may mean that 5-5 D1 teams may be left out. I could be wrong. I'm sure someone on the board has an idea of what teams may qualify for playoffs by now.
