Vacaville 21 vs 28 Napa FINAL

The MEL gets 2 automatic berths (1st & 2nd place). So if Vaca Hi were to beat Wood they would go as the 2nd place and Wood would go as an at large team with a 8 - 2 record. If Wood beats Vaca Hi it might be tough for Vaca Hi to make it there are too many 6 win teams already in. This is assuming Vaca Hi beats Vintage as well.

Let's go get them Cats. I think it will be an interesting game it all comes down to if Vacaville can stop Woods passing game. Vacaville ran their Wing-T in the third quarter, against Napa, at near perfection, I was amazed at how well they were handing off that football. They got on a roll and I must say that was one of the best displays of that Wing-T offense I have seen in a very long time. I just loved it, Napa has and showed great rushing defense and even they could not stop Vacaville offense in that third qtr.

If the Vacavillle team that played last night shows up against Wood, there will be no doubt they beat Wood.

They have to come out and play like they did from qtrs 2 thru 4 in the Napa game.

GO VACAVILLE BULLDOGS!!!

They will be fine, Dan. The Wood team is good but watching them against Napa I can't help think they're overrated, shut down their run game and they are in trouble. The qb is small and athletic but can be stopped by a good scheme, I'm sure the Vaca staff will figure it out.

Check out the above link. It is true that there are teams that are D2 that will be moved to D1. Elk Grove plays in a D1 league, so if they are champions, they play in D1 bracket. That is just one example. There will be some 5-5 teams that make the playoffs, but very few because of the reduced number of at large spots in the D1-D4 brackets. The SJS awarded the SFL and the Delta 4 automatic berths and 5 other leagues an extra berth based upon the leagues performance in prior year playoffs. So, with an extra 9 spots gone, there will be very few 5-5 teams. Thank goodness.

Here is how one former SJS teacher/coach has projected the playoffs. Of course anything can happen with the games and change everything. These are not seeded, except for D1, which I have taken the liberty to put in place based upon record, opponent wins, and rating.

Lincoln-Stockton projected 6-4? I don't think they will beat Tracy. Lincoln-Stockton struggled against all of the weaker TCAL league opponents. Tracy took care of business vs all TCAL opponents except St. Mary's. I project St. Mary's-Stockton will finish 8-2, Tracy will finish 6-4, and Lincoln-Stockton, Tokay, and West will finish 5-5 for TCAL, with Tokay beating West on Friday.

I stand corrected. Wow! Lincoln and West must have read my post and gotten fired up. Lincoln definitely turned it up tonight playing their best game of the season vs Tracy and beating Tracy 49-28. West vs Tokay turned out to be a great game that was decided on the last play of the game with West's Dancy scoring from 1 to beat Tokay 26-20. Lincoln and West both heading to SJS D1 playoffs as projected by the former SJS school teacher/coach. Go figure! I agree Stagg will win SJS and land a spot in D1 (if they will beat Chavez next week as projected) and McNair will get in (sounding victory over Chavez tonight) for D2.

Yes, Granite Bay will be in D2. All winners of D1 leagues such as Elk Grove who might be normally in D2 are forced to play in D1.
