Why the CCS has forced Presentation to remain in the WCAL is a mystery to me. Are they competitive in other sports? I guess that could be the reason.

I think you can have a league with six.

Mitty got tested by SI at home today. They won by 15 but it was competitive throughout.

Without seeing the game, that score was interesting to me. Whether it is Mitty still figuring it out or if this is the new reality that there is a chance against them for the best WCAL teams?

Obviously Mitty has to readjust its entire offensive and defensive schemes -- and there isn't much practice time this time of year.

By postseason, though, the Monarchs should be much improved.

I think it's some of both.

SI has athletes that do a good job of boxing out and guarding one on one. So without McKenna, Mitty did not get many easy putbacks, and the crowd she typically draws was free to contest other players' shots in the half court.

Mitty's press was also less effective than normal. SI's guards (Sanchez and LuLu Giometti) confidently lobbed the ball over the top of traps, throwing passes that would've been much riskier with McKenna on the floor. Mitty still caused some turnovers and they were the margin of victory, but there was never a moment where I thought Mitty's trademark run was about to happen.

Yes clearly they will need a handful of games to get acclimated to life without McKenna as I can imagine alot of their plays offensively were ran for her. 15 pt win margin still a decisive win vs a solid SI team.
