Week 7 Scoreboard

I watched the Folsom vs Oak Ridge game last night when I got home. I’m no longer drinking the kool-aid from Larry anymore. 😂

Folsom has speed. But it was deceptively fast because Oak Ridge is big but “SLOW”. It was a good game first half. Oak Ridge secondary falling asleep when Flores was wide open for the Folsom scores was definitely nails in the coffin, leading to 21-0 second half score. Looks like SFL will be decided with Folsom vs Del Oro. I give the edge to Folsom. But, I do think Del Oro might provide a challenge as I think they are quicker than Oak Ridge.

After not losing a league game for 7 years Capital Christian has been shut out in back to back weeks by Vista Del Lago 48-0 and by Christian Brothers 35-0. How the mighty have fallen.

OR was hanging around until their QB flat dropped the ball while driving late 1st half. They score a TD there then come out and out and put together a good 1st possession of the 2nd half and that game might have been competitive the rest of the way. But that unforced TO killed whatever chances they had.

I wasn’t very impressed with OR’s QB or their secondary. Far too many unforced mistakes.

Forget Folsom’s talent, they were much more fundamentally sound and discipline. Their defense continues to impress.

End of half killed them. Brutal fumble which was totally unforced. They were in great shape to have a 1 pt game at half. From a Momentum standpoint that was tough to overcome. Too many big plays and too much speed in 2nd half by Folsom.

How come you haven't commented on your downplays of Folsom's schedule and huge road wins this year? You made it sound like the DLS win was just no big deal lol

CVC scores 21-14 6 min 2Q

I think the first team to tighten up on defense wins this game.

Bellarmine @ Riordan 0-0 Halftime
Bells Pfaff injures ankle on 1st series
Riordan’s King Wilhite and Zach Jones are not suited up

CVC is making the adjustments quicker 28-14 end of half.

Agreed! I think the defense that gives up less points wins this one in the end. :D

Just bustin your balls @FBAddict!
Yep, that is similar to the common statement which goes something like this, "I found it in the very last place I looked..." Of which I think, "Well I'm sure glad you didn't keep looking after you found it."

Mitchell, because of lack of time didnt get to his 2nd reads. Was locked into first read which didnt amount to much outside of their first drive. Feel as though there were many plays he could just take off and make a play with his legs instead of scrambling in the pocket. No playmakers makes a huge difference.

Did Bells' Pfaff play at all?
