Bigger question, whose left out of the NorCal open game if DLS, SF and Rocklin win out? I’ve got to think the Thunder are.

So is it probably St. Francis the NorCal rep for the Open Game if they win out; DLS in the Div 1AA, assuming they win the playoffs in that division; and Rockling in Div 1A, playing and beating Folsom again in the playoffs.

Hello TR how are you my friend?Nice to see the regs are still sharing their expert thoughts and opinions,my Placer Hillmen are having a little rough go this yr starting 0-5 vs pretty decent competition thank god the Menlo Atherton and Salinas games got cancelled.They were rescheduled vs Antelope and PG from Chico both decent teams as well,they now stand 2-5 having won last 2 league games vs NU and Rio Linda and they need to win last 2 vs Oakmont and then at Ponderosa....do that and they go into D4 and should do well especially with their SOS in D4 it’s #2 behind Lincoln,I don’t know why they are ranked #1 in D4 when they play in D2 playoffs and are this yr in 1st place in the FVL..Placer needs to win and they’re in,its as simple as that.We’ll talk soon my friend........very nice seeing many of the regulars still here supporting their teams and voicing their opinions,predictions,facts,comparison...I enjoy every bit of it thank you all and ty you TR! Buddy you know I am a Placer fan. But this year Kimbal is going to be D4 and they are super athletic! QB scary good if you're on the other side of the field. CC handled them because they also have athletes. You know Oakdale! We wished we had athletes! We talked about it at that Sacramento game. You know Placer and Oakdale both system teams. But you guys have something in the water up there with all those road grader line men! Hopefully we can meet up for a playoff game?

That's right. Since 2014, the Open division selection goes straight to the SBG All other teams (D1-AA through D6-A) go to a regional bowl play-off game to get to a SBG game. According to the CIF State Blue Pages document, the divisions can go as deep as D7-A.

If Rocklin gets saddled that matchup, they’re really gonna need the threat of Kenny Lueth’s downfield arm as well as his legs.

I heard yesterday that his knee injury isn’t serious enough to keep him out the rest of the season, which is great news. Hopefully he can come back soon and get a few games under his belt.

Agree. Rocklin offensively right now is there only real weakness and it’s not that bad, but against a very good team like DLS that would be a tough ask without starter. Regardless I think it will be a heck of matchup that I will gladly pay to see.
