Going back to the past, Whitney, in 2010, The wildcats faced Concord which they won 42-40, but it wasn't easy.....The game got off to a bad start for the wildcats as Concord jumped off to a 20-7 lead, but Whitney slowly came battling back and jumped ahead 28-27 and from here, it was a see-saw battle going back and forth as both teams changed leads and it was a case of the last team that scored would win.
Also, at the "Battle at the Capitol" at Del Oro, Cardinal Newman faced Central Catholic which CN won 24-21 in two over times.
For the 2016 season, Whitney returns 7on offense and nine defense, plus a 8-1-1 JV team to supply the varsity and in the process, the Wildcats are shopping for a QB within the ranks.
In 2015, a big win was a 28-20 win over Rocklin, but wild losses to Del Ore 34-28, 57-55 to Oakridge, 35-32 to Consunmes Oaks and a 40-39 loss to Del Campo...Not a case of not trying to win.
The Schedule
8-26.....Davis Home 7 P.M.
9-02.....Granite Bay Away 7:30 P.M
9-09.....Rocklin Away 7 P.M.
9-16.....Bella Vista Home 7 P.M.
9-23.....Del Campo Home 7 P.M.
9-30.....Bye
19-07...Ponderrosa Away 7 P.M.
10-14...Oakmont Home 7 P.M
10-21...Roseville Away 7 PM.
10-28...Cosumnes Oaks Away 7 P.M.
11-04...Antelope Home 7 P.M.
Looking over the schedule some revenge is on tab for Cosumnes Oaks and Del Campo , but that may back fire, but the Wildcats are going to be strong this year...and these two teams are on the list....

The Rocklin win was due to several suspensions at Rocklin.
The 8-1-1 JV team was stripped of several soph's playing up last season. JV class is loaded....Look forward to seeing them play again.
