2013 Battle for the Belt Team List
We are excited to announce the initial 2013 Battle for the Belt team list. This year's tournament is shaping up to be the best yet. New to this year's competition will be Bethlehem Catholic of Pennsylvania. They were Pennsylvania's AA state champs in 2012 and finished twelfth among the national rankings. Also, joining the competition will be perennial state power Vacaville who will be travelling south for the first time since 2009. Other top 10 finishers from last year's state meet who will return to the Battle for the Belt are three time defending Battle for the Belt team champions and two time defending state champions Clovis along with Bakersfield, Poway, De La Salle, St John Bosco, Lemoore, and Canyon Springs, respectively. We are also in the process of attempting to secure other state powers. All of this will contribute to what might be the most competitive team race in the history of the competition.
Currently, there are 38 teams who have applied for, and been accepted to, the 2013 Battle for the Belt. These teams are listed below. If you have applied and do not see your school's name, this means that you are presently on the wait list.
