Both are 4-0 in the EBAL.

DLS is ranked #15 in CA by MaxPreps, and the same site has Granada at #28.

In other words…. These guys are GOOOOOOOD!

Just watched the frosh game, where DLS romped by a little over 30.

Granada JV’s lead DLS after 1 quarter, 14-9.

DLS built about a 6-7 point lead in the 2nd quarter before Granada came roaring back to make the halftime score 25-24…

DLS’s Davit Pachulia had the ball about 6 feet beyone half court, falling out of bounds, baseball toss at the bucket, darn near went in at the buzzer.

That was close all the way ‘til the last couple minues, but DLS made all the plays down the stretch and got a 49-42 win.

Okay…. I don’t know very many of the players by name/number other than Ricketts and Blair, and I’m sure the P.A. won’t be heard very well over the noise in this packed gym…. So my updates will be spotty at best.

Ricketts drives and lays it up…. but Granada with a 3! 16-9 Granada.

Spartans turn it over, baseline…. 57 seconds 1st.

SPartnas rebound, but Granada grabs it back…

ANOTHER great Blair pass to #32, fouled…. FT’s split. I have 16-14 now after a Blair midrange shot…. Ah, scoreboard corrected.

Blair drives left side, shot bounces out, fouled…. First FT good, 2nd also. 18-16 Granada.

DLS #42 grabs a Blair miss, misses, gets it back, fouled. Makes 1 of 2. 18-17.

#42 rebound, long pass to Rickets, he is served up a big plate of Wilsonburger!

DLS keeps it, but a couple tries go awry, Granada ball.

GRanada rebound, #23 zooms downcourt, FOULED at the buzzer! First FT bounces out, smae for the second, to the delight of the DLS rooting section. 22-20 DLS at the half.

Blair called for a moving screen…. He NOT happy, nearly earns a T…. but nope. Granada ball.

Blair with a bunch of moves, then gets off a shot, miss… but out of bounds to the Spartans!

Granada STEAL…. the shot bounces away, DLS rebound…. but he stumbles, travels. Granada ball, 28.9 left, but it’s 50-43 Granada.

BTW, I checked on the way out.. Blair scored 24, and my guess is at least 15 of those were in the 2nd half.

Granada had the game in hand leading most of the way. De la Salle started out the fourth quarter on a 12 oh run. Finish the quarter 18 to 6. De la Salle executed better in the fourth quarter and were patient in their half court sets. Grenada seem to be rushing and it just snowballed. Miss Fritos and turnovers. Also a killer.
