Not only this but with the old system you couldn't even work during the year! I was a college athlete and I can tell you without FASFa you had no money to live. That system definitely needed to change. Agree the current system isn't perfect and needs updating but the pre-nil system wasn't good.

But our baseball stadium is the best! Ballpark Village is amazing! The airport is in the county so it's safe. SLU is a great school too.

lots of pressure on riordan this week to make a statement. if they don’t run the clock on shcp it would be a bad look.

mitty vs valley christian is huge for playoff seeding, because of the dumb ccs playoff format it actually ends up better for the loser of the game not the winner.

serra vs si is a waste of letters typing about as we all know how that goes. shutout

RHS is 46-12 since Coach Adams took over in 2019, including 6 postseason wins (there was no postseason in Spring 2021), 2 Section Finals appearances, and 1 section championship.

They own a 21-6 league record over that time (through last weekend), losing only to Folsom (4x) and Del Oro (2x).

As you said, they haven't lost to Oak Ridge since Benzel's last season in 2018, which is also the last time they lost to Granite Bay as well.

They've yet to lose to Whitney in an SFL league game.

Why are we making fun of SJSU? They haven’t been a bottom feeder in a minute ? They’re making bowl game more often than not last 5 years and I don’t see the program being a joke with Coach Niumatalolo? I think they’re running a stable respectable mid major, will they be great? Probably not but I think they’re past the point of where we make fun of them as one of the worst programs in the country where they once were, will be in bowl games more often than not which is a good spot for sjsu

Here we go. The WCAL schedule for the first week of league play:

Friday _ Bellarmine at St. Francis, 7 p.m.; Serra at SI, 7 p.m.
Saturday _ SHC at Riordan, 1:30 p.m.; Mitty at VC, 6 p.m.

St. Francis and Riordan are heavy favorites; Mitty and Serra are slight favorites.

Some of the speculation now comes to a close. We will start to get some answers.

i admit every time i'm wrong i just don't make excuses for it.

look at the thread for the de la salle vs. saint marys stockton game. i straight up said i was absolutely wrong, no excuses no bones about it.

look at this past week's pick em. i said i was wrong and need to study more film. no excuses no bones about it.

the issue is making excuses and making stuff up out of thin air to try and "explain" why you were flat out wrong.

oak ridge beats granite bay close

del oro wins against whitney relatively easily. if not heads will roll at the end of the year.

rocklin absolutely destroys jesuit running clock 49-7 because styles make fights. not gonna beat rocklin in a running contest. jesuit is not ready for sierra foothill league ball, they will need a couple years to get up to speed.

folsom shuts out davis. my controversial take is that it will be a defensive struggle. i'm predicting neither team scores on offense and the final score is 2-0.

Some thoughts on Games this week.

Oak Ridge at Granite Bay. - I would say one of the better games around the region. OR is coming off there 1st win against a really bad DO team. Granite Bay has been impressive with a big win at Jesuit and improved to 4-0. I don't see anybody being able to stope ENE from GB on the Trojan side. I think this is a great game but I like Granite Bay 24-20 over OR.

Whitney vs DO- Whitney coming off there 1st win against Davis makes it 2 in a row with a victory of DO. DO is really down....

Rocklin vs Jesuit- I think Rocklin bounces back from the thumping against Folsom with a win against Jesuit. Jesuit D and line will keep it close but not enough scoring power. I like Thunder 24-14.

Folsom vs Davis - 99-3 if they played. Not kidding. The asian national merit scholar from Davis kicks a 44 yd fg to get them on board.
