After some tweaking Sutter's schedule set

VARSITY

Week 0 El Cerrito Home

Week 1 Palma Away

Week 2 Elmira, Or. Autzen Stadium, Oregon

Week 3 Bye

Week 4 Ripon Away

Week 5 Bear River Away

BVL league play weeks 6 through 10

JV Schedule had to be tweaked when DLS refused to travel to Sutter week 2 and do double header with the frosh and JVs. Sutter frosh traveled to DLS last year

Sutter JVs have now scheduled Capital Christian Week 3 and will have bye week on week 2

Sutter will be road warriors to say the least with some very lengthy trips next season. 4 out of the 5 pre league games are on the road. It had to be done to get this good schedule. Obviously it will pay off in the 2016 season with the 2 year contracts.
Gone from Sutters schedule from a year ago are Justin Sienna, Novato and Ukiah whom all opted out. Justin Sienna was a head scratcher because when they would not renew they posted a game wanted and requested a D3 school to play. Sutter is a D 3 school. Although the JV and the varsity games were not very competitive the last 2 seasons with them.

STUART HALL VS. BROOKSIDE CHRISTIAN

When Basketball is discussed on this board the D5 schools are usually absent from conversation. Despite the size of the schools, D5 teams like Brookside Christian and Stuart Hall do have athletes worth paying admission to watch. Tonight in a triple overtime battle Brookside lead by Kenyon Williams defeated #1 Seeded Stuart Hall lead by Armani Collins. The game was a thriller that a handful of people got to witness .

Predictions- Tuesday Night

Here is how I see the games going down. I will be at ODOWD Vs Folsom.

Open

ODOWD 71
Folsom 62

I don't think Folsom matches up that well which isn't a knock on them. I don't think anybody matches up well with maybe the exception of Modesto Christian. Folsom is extremely well coached and plays hard but the size and athleticism of BOD will bother them. Russell hasn't played well this year and Rabb will eat him alive. I think Ford will keep them in the game early but in the end I could see close to a 10 pt win.

Serra 65
Modesto 63

My upset sort of. I actually think MC would matchup better with ODOWD than Serra will but I'm going with Padres at home. The physical play and grueling schedule of the WCAL prevails.

D1

DLS 48
Woodcreek 45

I think this will be a really tight game. Woodcreek has a very good team with Blackwell/Brown and supporting cast. Look for this one to come down to the wire with DLS squeeking out a W.

SRV 70
Berkeley 52

Maybe its just me but I see this as one of the few lopsided games of the night. I think SRV eats Berkeley alive.

D2

IMO the weakest of all the divisions from the start.

Sac high 74
St Marys 62

Sac high just to strong for St Mary's.

Mitty 70
Consumnes Oaks 50

I don't see this as a close game either.

D3

Campo 65
Sierra 58

Campo too good for Sierra.

Drake 61
Mission 55

I think Drake gets back to Norcal finals.

D4
Some very interesting matchups.

Newman 62
St Marys 60

I think Newman boys and girls both advance to Finals. 3rd win over St Mary's this year.

Marin Catholic 73
Capital Christian 71

This should be a great game over at Marin Caholic.

Rematch with Newman and MC for Norcal.

Iron MIke Machine for sale

Joe Allegri, who is the coach at Harbor High School in Santa Cruz has a "good as new" Iron MIke pitching machine that he wants to sell for $1,300. To be honest, this is a really good deal. So, if you know anyone that is in the market for one, have them contact Joe at scwalkoff@yahoo.com.

This is a good deal.

A new "streak"... Against DLS

I'd like to congratulate current Amador Valley and former Cal High freshman head coach Bill Hoefs for his recent win vs. DLS. This now makes Hoefs 17-0 against DLS baseball all time and in the last 8 1/2 years. Coach Hoefs is also the longtime Cal High JV football coach and is now at SRV that wins 8-9 games a year on the gridiron. There simply is not a better lower level coach in all of NorCal at any sport. 17-0! Congrats coach!
