Well we have to see how the SJS d1 playoffs go. MC is probably the slight favorite at this point and just beat Lincoln.CIF Norcal Open should have 6 teams this year
1) Riordan (Bye)
2) St Joseph’s (Bye)
3) Lincoln (Stockton) vs. 6) Salesian
4) Inderkum vs. 5) Clovis North
DLS, Folsom, SI front runners for D1
Salesian 6? Modesto Christian?CIF Norcal Open should have 6 teams this year

And it’s extremely unlikely that they place both central section teams in the north open.Well we have to see how the SJS d1 playoffs go. MC is probably the slight favorite at this point and just beat Lincoln.
Not confirmed yet but seems to make the most senseHas it already been confirmed that St. Joseph moves to CIF NorCal Open from SoCal?
It makes no sense. They are literally located in SoCal hahaNot confirmed yet but seems to make the most sense
How does 330 miles to sacramento vs 130 to say sierra canyon last year make sense . Or how does all the teams from north making 5 hr + to Santa Maria make senseNot confirmed yet but seems to make the most sense
Taking about evening out brackets in terms of competitiveness. Stick around for March and you will see a lot of matchups that don’t make geographic sense. How does 330 miles to sacramento vs 130 to say sierra canyon last year make sense . Someone put them in the Central Section which has gone to the North and the South for basketball. Take it up with themIt makes no sense. They are literally located in SoCal haha
Buchanan might have something to say about Clovis NorthCIF Norcal Open should have 6 teams this year

When the SJS selects a team to Open then another team fills the D1-D7, so 6 teams could possibly make State Playoffs.Open - Canidates.
MC, Folsom, Lincoln, Inderkum are all possible and good enough to compete with anyone.
BUT its the SJS and you still have Monterey Trail (win vs Folsom) lurking in the Playoffs not mention Vanden and Sheldon.
Sad but only 4 of these teams will get in the State playoffs. plus 1/2 at large depending on who they take for the OPEN.
C.I.F. votes on it when they make State Brackets next month. Historically San Diego, Los Angeles, Southern and Central section are Southern California and Sac-Joaquin, Northern, Central Coast, San Francisco, Oakland, and North Coast sections are Northern California. I actually think Central section wants to challenge the Southern Section and will vote to keep St. Joesph of Santa Maria in the Southern State Playoffs to faceoff versus HW or Roosevelt.Someone put them in the Central Section which has gone to the North and the South for basketball. wrong . Both semifinal losers advance . If a team is selected to open then a qtr final losers advance gets the nod . Just like Monterey Trail last yearWhen the SJS selects a team to Open then another team fills the D1-D7, so 6 teams could possibly make State Playoffs.
Winner/Runner if they go to NorCal Open which has happened, then you have two semi losers getting the invite.
yep, your right quarterfinalists losers would get the nod.wrong . Both semifinal losers advance . If a team is selected to open then a qtr final losers advance gets the nod . Just like Monterey Trail last year
