It was Logan 68-66 in OT.

Justin Pardini started the game at center with Ramzi Carter sitting out the entire first half on the bench. Romello Dunbar, Nate Robinson and I think Sean Ramos and Emmitt Neal also started. Irish trailed 38-26 at the half. SHC was 1 of 8 at the line in the first half. I lost count of the missed layups.

SHC outscored Logan 14-7 in the third quarter. Carter came in mid-way through and was able to at least put a body on Logan's 6-9 center who just had his way vs. anyone else. Carter also missed a 15-footer and promptly attempted a slam-dunk while the ball was in the cylinder off a shot by Dunbar for an offensive goaltending call. SHC outscored Logan 22-17 in the 4th to put the game into OT but turned the ball over twice, giving up 6 points total in the extra period to provide the final score.

Bryce Monroe played very well, as did Nate Robinson and Emmitt Neal. Dunbar handled the ball well but still needs work at the line. He injured his left wrist while flying out of bounds. He stayed on the bench with ice on his wrist. Irish sorely miss Alfred Hollins... and Nifai Tonga for that matter.

Sounds like a winnable game....they better get it together. Dunbar again, please work on your free throws..you got a chance to be just as good as your brother!

If he has a chance to be as good as his brother - he's improved his game immeasurably.....

Should of hired the Dr....

It may be a little early to say that but if they did hire him, it wouldn't have bothered me any.

Next is the Drake Tournament. First game is Thursday, Dec. 8th at 3:30pm against Berwick Secondary College from Australia.

Dont need to put anymore pressure on the kid. Look, his brother was a fantastic ball-handler that looked even more amazing when playing within SI's staid offense. Assuming he's a senior now, so it is what it is. Let's see how kids adapts into the new system. But at this time, Irish also need to look into their future.

Trevor and Melo are not the same. Each have their own strengths and weaknesses. The biggest difference is Trevor was more polished as an outside shooter. You probably shouldnt leave him open. Trevor can single-handedly take over a game which is spectacular for a guy who's only 5'9-5'10.

It was a great game to watch, I felt the Irish were the better team but too many missed open looks and layups as stated above. SHC has the team to make a great run this year.

Good win for the Colts. They are tough and should have epic league clashes with Moreau and Newark.

You have to understand that the new coach got this job late in the game. He probably wasnt even able to schedule how he wanted to because most teams schedules were set. He also didnt get the kids in HIS summer workouts and weight training also. This team will peak late, but could take some lumps early because of the late hiring.

James Logan is Legit, they smashed Oakland Tech with USF new signee by 25. SHC will be just fine.
