As threatened…. er, promised, I am here viewing Folsom’s blue turf for the first time.

Keyboard in hand…

All I know about these teams is the comments in this forum, I’m totally wingin’ it.

Still 50+ minutes ‘til kickoff.

Okay, 31.

Ryder handoff, tackled for no gain.

Flag down, penalty accepted, procedure…. 1st and 15.

Runner gets the yardage back, pus 3. 2nd and 7.

Pass incomplete, led him too far, 3rd and 7.

QB tackled for no gain, couldn’t find an open receiver, 4th down.
 
Now 4th and 1 after defensive jump offside..

Handoff, Carter Jackson for first down. (I think that’s the name)

43 yard line.

Nice run for 11…. Poly 46.
 
Run around end damnces the sideline, firt down on 33.

Long run left side, flag down…. Holding. Got a first down, somehow…. I don’t get that. Now 2nd on the Poly 30.

QB kepps it, scrambles for 7 or so…. 3rd and 3.

Planned keeper this time, first down over the middle. 21 yard line.

#7 runs up middle, cuts right for a long touchdown!

Kick is BLOCKED. 6-0.
 
Kick out of bounds, Poly on the 35.

Pass complete, breaks tackles, all the way to the Folsom 37.
 
Now first down on Folsom 26.

Pass complete for 9…

QB keeps it, runs all the way for a TD. Kick is good, Poly leads 7-6. 5:13 left 1st.
 
Pass complete for a first down on the Folsom 43.

HUGE run, but a holding downfield…. ends up 1st and 3.

Screen pass gets a first down to the Poly 43.

BIG run to the Poly 20…
 
Lateral gets 8…

SACK! 3rd and about 7.

Pass into the end zone, WIIIIIIIIDE open, Touchdown! Kick is good…. 13-7 Folsom, 1:23 left in the first q.
 
HIGH kick, hits and bounces back like a sand wedge, Folsom recovers! Poly 31.

Incomplete pass, bounces off not one, but two Folsom receivers.. 2nd down.

Short gain, 3rd and 9.

QB can’t find a man, tackled for no gain trying to escape. 4th and 9. Folsom going for it…

But the clock runs out, 13-7 Folsom after 1 quarter.
 
4th-down pass complete to the Poly 13.

Run of right tackle, nothing but blue turf in front of the guy…. TOUCHDOWN! Kick is good. 20-7 Folsom.
 
SACK! Big loss, even though it looks like the Folsom guys was being held. 2nd and a mile.
 
Now 3rd and a mile…. I think maybe 30-ish.

Pass complete to the 20… but flag down , facemask.on Poly.4th and they need to buy a ticket to get back in.
 
Punt, receiver runs it back to the Poly 44…. but a flag down…. Helmet to helmet, I think he said… against the Bulldogs. ist down Folsom on their own 36.

Run gains just a couple, 2nd and 8.

GREAT run down the sideline, busting tackles all over…. to the Poly 34.

Run gains nothing…. 2nd down.

QB avoids sack, wiggles down to the Poly 24. 1st down.

FUMBLLLLLLEE! on a badly busted play, Poly recovers on their 25.
 
Runner swallowed up for a loss, 2nd and 11.

Pass batted down in the backfield! 3rd and 11.

QB scrambles, finds a guy for a first down. 36 yard line of Poly. 1st down run gets 2.

Ineligble receiver, 2nd and 14.

TERRIFIC Poly run gets a first down on the Poly 46.
 
1st down pass, nope…

2nd down pass, nope…. Guy probably shoulda had it.

PICKED O…. er, dropped. 4th down. That’s why he’s on defense.

Punt downed on the Folsom 24.
 
4:16 left in the half.

Pass incomplete.

Run for a loss of 2, 3rd and 12.

Pass behind the receiver, 4th and 12.

Going for it…. NO! He drops back and lets losse a high punt that bounces all the way to the Poly 29.
 
Poly run for a tough 6 yards…

Short run, 3rd and 3.

Long pass, no dice. 4th down. 2:10 in the half.

Poly punt, dead on Folsom 34.
 
Long pass complete for 24 yards, 1st down on the Poly 45.

Pass to the end zone, double-covered, nobody grabs it. Flag down, offensive PI call. Folsom now on its own 40.

Short gain. 2nd and long…. but pass complete! 1st down on Poly 27.

Short pass to the side looked stuff…. but the receiver broke like 4 tackles and got another first down, to the Poly 16. 43 seconds.
 
QB almost sacked, break a million tackles, and finds the end zone! Incredible play!!
 
BIG hit stops the Poly receiver on the 20.

Short gain on a Poly pass, 2nd and 9.

And that’s the gun.

Terrible tackling by Poly all half…. Poly looks slow on the O-Line and QB very inexperienced…. Polys Defense looks small and they can’t tackle…. So Cal D2 at best this year….

Folsom looks great, like a So Cal D1 Team, huge O-Line, lots of speed…. Folsom could never throw a pass and win all their games this year, really impressive offense…. Folsom would compete for #3 in the TL this year with OLU, Well coached, nice tackling on defense tons of speed on offense….

The only way Folsom loses this year until the open is if they don’t get off the bus…. 🤣

Game is going about the way I guessed it would. Initially it seemed Folsom and Poly were fairly even, but Folsom's defense and air offense picked up. We will se what adjustments Poly will make, but I think Folsom talent and experience is too much for the Jackribbits.
 
Poly return to their own 20…. 3-yard gain on first down, a Folsom injury, didn’t hear who.
