Oakland Rise Pro WBB Traveling Team Tryouts Oct 29th

On August 6th, the Oakland Rise organization has officially joined the Women's Blue Chip Basketball League for the 2017 season. This is a monumental moment for Women's Basketball in the Bay Area. The WBCBL consist of 40 + teams throughout the US. Teams include players currently playing in overseas markets, former WNBA players and players whom have just finished their college careers.

For the ownership of Oakland Rise, this moment represents a passion for women in sports. We have always tried to contribute to the game of Women's basketball and this is the first step major step for our city in that direction.

The Oakland Rise will be holding our first official tryout at Laney College on Oct 29th. You must be at least 20 yrs old and NOT playing in college. 2017 will be an exciting year, as we are planning international travel and travel throughout the states. International competition March - May; .U.S. season May - August. This will be good exposure for international opportunities or an opportunity to continue to play during your international off season against pro players.

At this time there are not any plans of expanding into the Stockton marketplace with a team. I would suggest any players who are interested in playing on beyond college should come and tryout.
