Pleasant Grove might still be for real after embarrassing Jesuit today. PG's defense knocked Bisharat out of the game early and forced Jesuit's qb into throwing 3 interceptions that led to touchdowns. The Delta is a tough league but PG could be ready to make some noise.

While I've not at all been impressed with Jesuit the past few years, I am a quite surprised by this turnout. That said, I am not surprised by Jake Ford's performance. I saw him last month against Rocklin and he made some very impressive throws. On one of their TD's, he threw one the nicest deep passes I've seen in a while. He's got an accurate arm with nice touch.

The glow of the Marlon Blanton hire is coming off. Pleasant Grove, which has a great story with the return of head coach Jason Rossow, may be better than first thought but this shouldn't happen to Jesuit.

Marauders have been held to single digit points by Granite Bay and PG.

Not so sure how good PG is. They've been absolutely killed by Rocklin and Folsom already this year. Average HS team in this area. Doesn't say much for Jesuit.

Something is definitely going on at Jesuit because Blanton is a better than average coach. It may be team injuries, outside forces issues or administration differences. Who know's? The guy is a lot better coach than his teams performance from the other day. His team beat Yuba City just as bad as Elk Grove earlier in the season so it could be significant injuries going on with his team we don't know about.

Turnovers and The wheels just fell off. Jesuit fumbles at own 35. Short field and It was 6-0 PG. Jesuit had 1st and goal inside the 5. Settled for FG 6-3. Pg next possession two big 3rd down conversions put the ball in Jesuit territory. Back to Back PI gave PG 1st goal at 3. TD 13-3. Jesuit 3 plays punt. PG takes pass 73 yards to house 20-3. next possession Jesuit throws INT . First and goal at 10. 27-3. Next possession for Jesuit throws pick six 33-3. Second half Jesuit tries onside kick gives PG short field 40-9. Another fumble by Jesuit at own 20. 48-9

Jesuit doesn't get the same kind of athletes that it did once before. There could be a number of factors surrounding this: administration, tuition, inexpensive options, athletic focus (Folsom, Del Oro, Granite Bay, Rocklin, Grant, etc.)

Somethings been going on over at Jesuit for some time. Notably Worrell Williams and Aarik Armstead both transfered from Jesuit and received Pac 12 Scholarships. One can only surmise what happened to Isiah Bailey's recruiting. At 6'3 215 he would have easily received a Division 1 scholarship at Grant or Folsom.

The football culture at Jesuit is an absolute joke right now. They spend over 5 million dollars on a new stadium but still don't have lights. Nobody goes to games on Saturday afternoons especially in September when it's over 90 degrees. Much rather be at home watching college football. And the team plays with zero energy.

Kids spend the winter and spring playing rugby or track and field instead of strength and conditioning for football. Or they quit football altogether to focus on other sports.

Sad that they're going to waste Bisharat's senior season considering he's probably the best player to ever play at the school.

Isaiah Bailey is an Inderkum kid that went to Jesuit all 4 years. He was not 6'3 and not very explosive when I saw him running around with other college athletes. He did have very good hands, he also had a bulky knee brace that very well could have slowed him down (did he have surgery?). I am in know way putting him down as he looks like a football player but he was probbaly 6. 1/2 ft and at the time I saw him last summer ran a 4.9 at best.

Blanton and his staff are doing as well as they can with the athletes they have. They have Bisharat plus a few solid sophomores but that's it. Only so much a coaching staff can do with no horses.

"PG's defense knocked Bisharat out of the game early and forced Jesuit's qb into throwing 3 interceptions that led to touchdowns". I'm sure this was a huge part of why Jesuit looked so terrible. The things you've highlighted about this game shows Jesuit had major backup QB deficiencies. It also seems like PG forced the Jesuit backup QB to throw the ball more than Blanton would have liked in this contest. Your report for this game is appreciated and very helpful in regards to understanding what actually happened.

I'm not sure if he had surgery or injury. I do recall the knee brace though. I'm also not sure about his 40 time but a 4.9 is definitely not very fast. He did have great hands and some great games in high school.

Looks like he is having some good games at Sierra.

He looked okay in the game clips I saw at the JC, strong like he belonged out there, but I want to know why he didn't go somewhere on basketball. He looked real dominant. An athlete with options whichever way he goes.
