SCORES

Fast forwarded the replay on NFHS Network to watch the last 2 min. Final Score - Del Oro 34 Whitney 28. Del Oro scored the winning TD with just over 30 secs to go. Whitney drove with secs remaining but pass to the endzone fell incomplete. Will have to watch the full replay on NFHS at a later time. Looks like it was a very good game.

Shucks Dublin just didn't have enough offense to keep up. Good year for them. DV surprised me and put 20 on Pitt. I'm wondering why NCS Football does not have a open NCS playoff bracket like basketball? Based on performance, campo and miramonte could compete against teams like cal high and freedom. I mean if you run the table in your division and destroy everyone by 30-40 points don't you think they should go into an open playoff?

Schools that sometimes have really good teams would be:

Cardinal Newman
Marin Catholic
Campo
Miramonte
MACK of the oal

It was a good game. DO could not stop Whitney QB Rodriquez runs. Rodriquez took some big hits and is a stud. DO did not impress me last night. They just played good enough, too many dropped balls and gave up too many yards against the run. Whitney stretched DO's D and Rodriquez took advantage of it killing DO with underneath passing. DO needs to show more "urgency". If they show up @Wood next week with a sense of urgency they should do well.

Sometimes?

Too lazy to look, but you're probably talking around 25 NCS titles combined (MC and CN have about 8-10 each).

Plus we're talking 80's 90's, 00's, and 2010+ NCS titles for MC, Mira, CN so at least a tittle in each decade for each (Campo 86') then a little drought.

4 decades of winning that is sometimes? Wow!

I think Rodrigues might be the most underrated player in the SJS this year. Very few people have impressed me like he has. I knew Whitney would be in this game and maybe it was a wakeup call for DO.

Yeah, "Sometimes have good teams"…. Bahahaha. I'm pretty sure Newman is one of the winningest teams in state history.
