Folsom struggled against Mitty and loss by quite a bit. My guess is they will also struggle against SMS. But perhaps they will make it a better contest. It will again be a measuring stick for them to see where they are now. I wouldn't guess it would be an easy game for them.

D4 Final: #3 West Campus vs. #4 Lathrop. Lathrop is a surprise. West Campus is not. Being defending D4 CIF State Champions, if West Campus beats Lathrop, where does the NorCal committee place them? D1 or D2? They lost to Folsom but beat McClatchy.

Open! 8th seed!

West Campus is interesting ... of their seven losses, six came in the high-powered Nike TOC and the Platinum bracket of the West Coast Jamboree. The other was to Folsom.

They are riding a 16-game winning streak, and if they win the D-IV title, they would be in the Open conversation. My guess, though, is that they wind up D-I, since they lost to O'Dowd and Sacramento.

I don't think they end up in the Open Division. D1 seems like a good spot for them

SMS will beat Folsom by 40 but still to go to the open. The question is SMS National Championships if the win out.

SMS could have a case for a national title if they win out, but the loss to unranked Long Island Lutheran will do them in ...

Christ the King is probably the favorite right now, as without Blakes, I think it will be hard for Mitty to go all the way in California. Even if they get by SMS, the SoCal champ will be very good.
